The Best Walk-In Camping Near Selden, Texas

Camp and go tubing or kayaking on the sunny Brazos River. We have river front RV Spots, pull thru, as well as Shaded Spots. We have a back 40 dedicated just for primitive camping, and if you love to fish, then we are for you! On Sat night in the Spring and Summer we have Dancing and Karaoke in our Party Barn.

It is BYOB and there is no glass allowed please. We do allow friendly pets, but they must be on a leash at all times. It is best to make a reservation in the summer time.

If you are looking for a place to live, or a rental we do take a select few. Just give us a call.

The campsite is fenced in our front pasture with water and composting toilet available. 

  

It is located under a large tree. 

  

Our front pasture houses our goats, cows, donkeys and chickens. 

  

We have two seasonal creeks that run thru the property and about 9 acres of woods to explore. 

  

Because we have no ambient lighting our farm is a great place to stargaze.

Welcome to Dinosaur Valley RV Park located in the hill country and on the Paluxy River.  After the dinosaurs, the area was heavily occupied by the Native American Indians.  Now your family can enjoy the nostalgic cowboy and Indians frontier land-themed campground with the latest amenities including spacious drive through RV spots with 50 amp full hookups and fully furnished cabins. 

Each RV site has full hookups including 30 and 50 amp service, water, and sewage hook up at the site. Every site is an 80 foot pull-through allowing for plenty of room for both a pulling rig and/or a vehicle in tow.  All sites have a clear view of the sky to accommodate any satellite dish.  Each site has a picnic table and fire ring.

Dinosaur Valley RV Park

Find dinosaur tracks, camp, picnic, hike, mountain bike, swim, fish and paddle in the river, watch for wildlife, look for a geocache, ride your horse, or visit our interpretive center.

Stay at one of our campsites. Explore 20 miles of trails. Shop our park store for souvenirs, camping and fishing supplies, books and much more.

Stephenville City Park

Sowell Creek Campground sits along Proctor Lake in the Cross Timbers Region of Texas. The area appeals to sportsmen, birders, naturalists or those simply wanting to relax in the outdoors. Natural Features: Large grassy areas dotted with black willow trees and buttonbush characterize the campground. Shade is sparse, but lake views are plentiful. Recreation: Fishing is Proctor Lakes main draw; anglers enjoy the lakes tremendous populations of bass, shad and crappie. The lake is also recognized as one of the best hybrid striped bass lakes in the state. Boating and swimming are popular activities on the water as well, and boat ramps and docks provide easy lake access for visitors. The surrounding wildlife areas at Proctor Lake provide ample hunting opportunities for game like duck, dove, hog and other small game animals. High Point Park, located just 2 miles from the campground, offers more than 10 miles of of hiking and equestrian trails. Facilities: This year-round campground offers 60 family sites and two group sites, all with electric hookups. Group Site #1 also has air conditioning. Other amenities include flush toilets, showers, drinking water and a dump station, creating a comfortable camping environment for guests. The large open areas, playground, boat ramp and dock provide additional of recreation opportunities for families.
