Best Glamping near San Antonio, TX

Lots of wildlife everywhere in the park. Beautiful scenery in hill country. Not far from San Antonio.

In my opinion the best park in San Antonio. Large spaces,mature live oaks,beautiful pool,convenient to many attractions, lakes,rivers etc.

Campground is a great place to stay to explore Borden, The Hill Country and San Antonio. Super quiet, many long term residents. Pool looks extremely clean.

Note.. as of 3/18/21 construction is still happening. Front office will give you the best way to enter park.

It was a cute place. A lot of the RV spots are taken up by people who live there. The glamping tents are super cute. The regular tent camping is nice and grassy. Dogs have to be on leash 24/7 that was the only bummer.

Super easy to get to off i35 between New Braunfels and San Antonio. The park is nice but could use some updating. The daily sites are up front and those are kept up, but if you walk around the park the ones near the back that are mostly monthly rentals could use some TLC. The playground was okay but the dog parks were nicer. It was cold so we skipped the pools but they have two.

We stayed three weeks here after being caught in the Texas Arctic vortex. They were very accommodating considering we extended our stay twice. The location is super convenient and about 30-45 minutes from the River walk.

I tryed using the posted address 33000 interstate 10 west frontage road, unable to find kept coming back.

Ok, it's a nice campground in a great location to explore the hill country, plus convenient to San Antonio, we decided to stay a week to explore, using campground as base camp. Sites are close but have a picnic table and grassy area between the neighboring site. Full hookups, cable and wifi that seems to actually work at most sites. There are many things to see and do, I hope we can see most of them during our week. We went to a fun town, Fredericksburg tx, today, we are already talking about going back there if time permits, was really alot to do there, beautiful town, we drove through boerne, and need to go see there historic old town and shops too. Of course we want to see the Alamo in San Antonio and the riverwalk, and that will be barely scratching the surface of things to do.

Note! The highway in front of the campground is under construction, so where it would normally be and easy off easy on, it's a little tricky getting in and out with the bigger rigs, but easy enough once you come in once, just follow the signs, it looks harder than it actually is at first, plenty of room to make your turns, just not normal till they finish it. 1/8/21 @ time of post.

Great park! Very clean and the sites are well maintained. They aren’t all level but compared to other campgrounds they are pretty even. Loved the extra parking spot for our truck. This campground feels super secluded away from the bustle of town, but is an easy 30-40 mins drive into New Braunfels/San Antonio. I’d recommend picking up food at the H‑E‑B on they way in. There is a Lowe’s grocery store near by but the selection of organic produce was non existent. Didn’t have a chance to explore the towns near by but did spend a lot of time in New Braunfels which is very quaint. We’d recommend and if we’re ever back in the area would stay again.

We had a fantastic time at Son’s Geronimo! Their glamping cabins are super nice and had everything we needed including AC, WiFi, full kitchen, fire pits, hammocks etc. We have a family of 6 and the setup was perfect: 2 queen beds and 2 twin beds. The property itself pretty large and has a lot of creek frontage. We kayaked, paddle paddle boarded, swam, fished and more! They also have lots of amenities: 2 pools, 2 hot tubs, volleyball court, basketball court, game room, horseshoe pits and more. We will definitely be back!

We loved everything about Son’s River Ranch! The staff is great, the place was very clean and we had a blast! Our glamping cabin was nice, it was well worth the money to not to have to set up a tent and do all that work. Plus the AC kept us very cold and comfortable at night and the kitchenette had everything we needed to cook and make meals. We rented a cabana for the day too and it was fun to hang out and relax by the river and BBQ. The next day we tubed and kayaked. They have a wristband you can buy for the day that is good for unlimited kayaking and tubing, we did both! The trip took about 2 hours by tube and an hour by kayak. They have shuttles to bring you back up to River Ranch when you are done. I highly recommend this place!

There's a new racket on the Guadeloupe River y'all. We made reservations for a Glamping tent for Father's day weekend. The price was high@$199.48 a night but we thought ok so we don't have to setup a tent plus it has A/C. I made the reservation for 3 nights with 20% off total was$560.24. I was not told at the time of making this reservation that I would also need a day reservation and that would cost extra. I would not have made the reservation if I knew it was going to cost a minimum of$380 for 1 day!$199 was bad enough. So someone else can rent the cabana right next to our tent during the day and could possibly go into our tent and help themselves to all our stuff! No sir! So in order to have access to our tent and make sure no one else rents the cabana next to us it will cost$478! WOW!!! for 24 hrs This also means that I can't leave our cooler, chairs or tubes at our tent. So every morning we have to load all our stuff up like we are checking out and leaving. Load all your stuff and put it in the truck while we are out floating the river then come back at 7pm unload and settle in all 3 days. What kind of crocodile snot is this?) I got my email confirmation and thought I was set. I called today and found out that the$199.48 is only for the hours of 7pm to 10am. What in the blue blazes is that? I have a reservation for 3 days! I can only be on the property from 7pm to 10am. I was informed that I needed day use and to rent a table or cabana to be on the property from 10am to 7pm below are the prices and breakdown of cost. I was told that this is the only property that is owned by the Sons company that makes you leave at 10 am and requires an additional rental for the other half of the day. I enjoy floating the river but I can tell you with absolute 100% certainty that I will not be floating from 10am to 7pm so this property requires you to pay extra to be there at any time between 10 and 7. Site# A Reservation date April 24$199.48@ night@ 3=$560.24 with 20% discount Pinic table cost$181.40 Saturday$81. 40 Sunday Cabana cost$279. I recently stayed at Blazing Star Luxury RV Resort and was thoroughly impressed. The resort itself is beautifully maintained, with Buckshot Roulette spacious, well-maintained RV sites and stunning Texas Hill Country views.

Blanco State Park is just beautiful. It sits right on the shores of the Blanco River and we had a gorgeous view of the water. The restrooms were in top shape and our site had a covered picnic table.  In our trip around Texas, this was one of our favorite state parks.  Easy to book online and very inexpensive with our Texas State Parks pass.  We were even able to walk into the cute town of Blanco and enjoy some fantastic BBQ at Old 300!  Would love to return.

Beautiful scenery and easy access to the river. Roads are very rough though so make sure you have a high clearance vehicle.

We selected the park to use as a base for exploring the Texas hill country. In addition to that we had a great time exploring Blanco and the park.

Wide open spaces Beautiful, open pasture with thoughtful campsite touches! Dot's spot was one of our favorite sites in Texas! Sweeping views, beautiful trees, lovely facilities and friendly hosts. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We'll be back!
