Tent camper, site #30. Deep into the piney woods and swampy outcrops of B.A. Steinhagen lake, I camped under the shade of a huge magnolia tree alongside very tall pines and oaks. Alligators are present all day and night near the water. They aren’t a nuisance. Good utility hookups, nice covered…
Stayed here for a nice long break to explore the area. The RV campground was small but enjoyable. The resort has cabins and rooms for rent, a marina with boat launches, a nice little store, and a great restaurant with good eats.
The view was great. We were tent camping and were told spot 11 and 10 would be the best for tent camping. This was not the best spots the roads also need a lot of attention they were very rough.
What a pleasant surprise. This hidden gem is gorgeous. Camped in site 102 along the water. Neat, clean, well-maintained. Staff were very helpful. Wish I could stay longer.
We stayed at this park while we were in our home base area for 2 months. The rv park is very nice. The staff and owners are great. The park is well maintained and has beautiful views. The laundry room is small but clean. The park just opened a store on grounds and it has just about anything you may…

The campground is managed by the federal government and if you have a senior or similar type National Parks and Federal Land membership pass, you get 50% of the daily camp fee.
The sites have beautiful views of the lake and are close to the water. The campground was obviously built many years…
Two ramps and another nearby to launch boat. Great views from the campsites
My new favorite park. The variety of trees is so beautiful. There’s huge magnolias , pines , maples and of course the bald cypress trees in the water are amazing. Some of the sites are huge, our pad was a little tight but we managed to angle in so we could still be on solid ground and pull out the…

My wife and I stayed two nights at an excellent spot (#14).
The two ladies who manage the campground were wonderful and they kept the facilities very clean and tidy.
We will visit again this summer and believe it would be good for anyone looking to camp using tent, camper or RV.
The park is big and wherever you go is really nice with great things to see and nice hike trails bathrooms clean. Great park

Very out and the open! Hard for rigs to pull into, soft ground, and potholes in the dirt road. Site are very close together, first come first serve. Has electric and water at ever site tho! $6 a night is a steal, I have the America is Beautiful/interagency pass and only pay $3 a night. Saves you…

Beautiful campground. Stayed in last loop camp 36. Was too close to 35. Not much privacy. Wish I would have chose 43, drive down the hill a bit to unload, had its own private beach. The last loop 35-43 is primitive campsites. Still has bathrooms though with flush toilets. Each loop has flush…
Park was very clean, staff was friendly, and the trails were well kept
There are only around 9 full hookup sites and they are very close together in the group camping section. Very little privacy. All waterfront sites are nice and big, but no utilities. One section of the campground has a lot of private RV sites but only water and electric. There are 3 restrooms but…

There are only 43 sites at this park, but most have no hookups. Only 9 full hookups, which is what I prefer if staying more than a couple days. The FHU sites are really close together and not private at all. Our picnic table and fire ring were at our neighbors sewer connection. The water and…
