Busy fishing CG

Very busy and popular CG with the local fishermen. Some sites on the water way. Those are very busy with locals walking through the sites to fish and tons of road traffic to the boat launch. We stayed in the area divided by foliage. Much quieter and a lot less traffic. Had a beautiful view of…

Beautiful Trails!

I went on a hot day but the trees surrounding the trails made the experience beautiful! We saw a turkey too!

OK For A Quick Stop

Hosts are awesome. Very noisy and crowded. Very clean facilities and super clean swimming pool. The sewer hookup does not have a trap therfore no water to keep stench down. Smelled so bad I could not leave drain pipe connected while I stayed.

Overpriced

Overpriced for what they offer. Small concrete pad that's not even aligned with the RV door. The hook ups are on the right side when the electric cable and tanks' valve is on the left so the sewer hose ended up underneath the RV. $40/night... Stayed 3 nights... waste if money.

A true 'Resort', well-spaced lots super well maintained!

Check-in was a breeze. The lady in the front office was very nice, and told us everything we needed to know about the resort.

The one thing I absolutely love about Tropical Trails(if I had to pick one) is that the spaces between sites are some of the largest I've seen. It's so refreshing not…

Tropical getaway - just a short drive from South Padre

Great new RV resort close to everything, easy access, and Fiber optic internet.
We really enjoy the large heated pool. Our dog enjoys his walks to the dog park.
It's a short drive to the beach and SpaceX is close, we just watched the latest test flight.
A big plus is a space between lots…

Very Pet Friendly. Great amenities

If you are near the border and are looking for a great place for your furry companion, Lakewood RV Resort is a great stop.  It's near South Padre Island, and the border. If you're looking for a location where you can stay and experience nice amenities though, this is great for that as well.

Great park

Friendly with a cozy atmosphere. Everyone very helpful...neighbors and staff. Limited activity while there due to caution of COVID, but that was appreciated.

Our Happy Place

We love the winter weather! Close to Mexican border town. The park has a lot of activities during the winter season. Most activities end March 31.
