Bluebonnet RV Resort

Just southeast of Mission, Bluebonnet RV Resort operates as a year-round destination for RVers seeking full hookups and community amenities. The privately managed resort accommodates rigs up to 50 feet with electric, water, and sewer connections at each site, though access roads can present challenges during certain conditions.

The resort centers around two air-conditioned clubhouses that serve as gathering spaces for residents and visitors. A heated indoor pool provides year-round swimming, while the separate library offers a quieter retreat for reading. Pet owners appreciate the dedicated dog wash station with fresh towels and a small dog playground area. The grounds include a butterfly garden and well-maintained laundry facilities that reviewers consistently praise for cleanliness.

Winter Texans form a significant portion of the clientele, creating an active social atmosphere with organized activities and entertainment. Sites vary in size, with management working to match RV dimensions to available spaces. Jim B. notes the grounds are "well maintained" with "no weeds and grass is mowed throughout." The gated property maintains security while allowing easy access to Mission and surrounding Rio Grande Valley attractions.

For those exploring the broader region, camping near Mission provides additional options throughout the area. Reservations help secure preferred sites during peak winter months when long-term visitors fill most spaces.

New management - good job - nice amenities

Love the two air conditioned club houses and the separate lounging library. Love the dog wash with fresh towels-all you need is your doggie’s favorite shampoo.Lots to do. Some sites are a little tight but mgr tries to get you in best spot for your needs. Very impressive. All employees and workampers are great and helpful! So great we are staying til April 1st.
