If passing thru, prolly an okay option

The park has your standard full RV hookups, 30 amp electricity, and drive-thru sites. I wouldn't say it's a vacation spot as it seems people are residing in the park semi or permanently. If I'm on vacation and not in a crunch I would just continue rolling to a more relaxing location.

I think it is an OK campground just to hot to tell

Ok seems to be well kept up. Has 2 areas short stay and long term stay. We got in at 1:30 it was 100. A little to hot to really walk around. Though the coolest place tobe is the restrooms and laundry, very nice, how long can you stay in.

They have a pool and it is used. Nice play area for kids.

Sites are gravel and very level, did not have to use our automatic levelers, impressed.

AR 7 PMit was still 100 but went out and got some video and photos.

    Close to Restaurants and Shopping

I stayed for 4 nights from a Thursday through Monday. The owner is very nice and helped me with choosing a drive thru site. It is well maintained. Mix of long term and short stay resident s. It is near a busy arterial highway so it's not especially quiet. The hookups worked great. I was two spots from the very front of the park. I used Passport America pass for my first 3 nights. I felt safe. It is very pet friendly. Keep dogs on leash and clean up after them. I have 3 black labs. No fenced dog park yet, so I drove them to the city park with tennis courts every morning to run free. I will most likely stay here again. I mostly boondock in the forests, but when I need a place to resupply and take care of business needs, this place is very nice.

    Perfect spot on the water

This campground is quiet and beautiful with large spaces, perfect for our big RV set up. They offer full hook ups. Our campsite (22) overlooks the water, and the playground which is perfect for our young family. It has a great size of gravel area with picnic table, barbecue, and fire pit. The bathrooms and showers are clean. The campground host was kind and helpful. Can’t beat this for the price! We might stay a few extra days.

    Cozy Campground in T-Town!

Cute and clean! Great for a few nights or longer. Pool, playground, laundry, and showers. The whole place is clean and neat. Easy to access from the I-30 service road, pull through sites available. We live in a 45' 5th wheel and had no trouble at all. FULL HOOK-UPS! 30 and 50 amp.

    Hidden Gem

We spent a week at this location. The sites are at the back of the property near two small ponds and it was quiet. The golf course was nice, although we did not play. The sites had 50 amps and full hook ups. We arrived later afternoon and were shown to our spot. The wifi was decent in the back area where we stayed. It was mostly workers and there was barely anyone during the day. This was a very quiet and peaceful stop for the week and we would certainly stay again.

    SKETCHY-BEWARE!!!

We booked one night here during a southwest roadtrip. I should have looked into the Google reviews because there weren't any on this app at the time. This "campground" sits directly beside a sketchy excuse of a "motel." Actually they are ran by the same people. The motel had multiple rooms with full windows busted out, large amounts of trash and junk piled everywhere outside (broken furniture, trash, scrap), the "pool" they advertise was empty with weeds growing up in it, and many long-term residents of the motel hanging out in the lot, on the second story, and going in and out of each other's open rooms. It looked like something straight out of a movie or TV show that was portraying a poor, rundown, drug-infested neighborhood. We drove past that and into the small campground area. It had lots of run-down campers with junk piled around them as well. I wish I had taken pictures because I couldn't believe how trashy this place looked. We made the decision not to stay there for the night. We were afraid our camper or truck would be broken into if we left them there. It was not somewhere we felt safe staying with our children. We found a much nicer and safer KOA down the road in Texarkana that was actually cheaper and stayed there instead. We may have lost the money we paid for a night at this place, but the peace of mind was worth it!

    Great park, but tight spots.

Texarkana RV Park is a very nice, clean, and friendly RV park. They have a gated entrance for extra security. The park has nice amenities such as pool, playground, laundry, restrooms, dog run, and park-like setting with duck pond. Most sites are pull-thru and plenty long, but narrow. Beware of your slide placement before parking, as site poles may be in the way of a slide fully opening. Each site is gravel with a patio and they have 50 amp FHU. We enjoyed our stay at this campground and would definitely stay again. 👍🏻😊

    Clean and Well Kept

Nice level campsites with great views of the lake. No shade on the full hookup side of the campground. Lots of shade in the water/electric side of the campground. Bathrooms were spacious, clean and private. Verizon cell signal was on the weak side.

    Kelly Creek Park

    Beautiful and Quiet, but...

1/19/23- 1/26/23: We stayed one week and it was a quiet and enjoyable campground at a reasonable price, but it still has some misgivings.

Good Points: The park was mostly empty and very quiet. The views of the lake are particularly nice. The sites are grass(good for dryer weather) and spread reasonably apart for privacy. 30A electric, fresh water, picnic tables, Verizon 4G: 4-bars with 4.8Mbps(down) and 3Mbps(up) can be found here.

    Other Points:

    * Rainy days completely saturates the grass with large puddles in the uneven areas; while walking to the office I discovered that the road had unavoidable puddles too.

    * 40 of the 75 sites have sewer; site#36 does not. Those with sewer were uncapped PVC pipes stubbed out of the ground.

    * Pricing: On Campendium, the facility is listed as Army Corps Of Engineers(COE) with a daily rate of$20. Naturally, with a Senior Lifetime Pass I expected to get a spot for$10/night. No so. The owner Leon Jennings(903-585-5453) said that it is a privately run(and leased) campground and the rate is$20(also posted in the office). After I said that I’d move on to a COE site he offered a spot for$13/night matching what the Clear Springs Park campground(COE) nearby would charge me. Rates on Campendium, the Wright Patman Lake website, and the RoverPass list at$20,$13, and$17 respectively. My interpretation is that the real rates are $17 (30A) and $20 (50A). I didn't see a distinction between sewer or no sewer sites.

    * Odor: There can be a sewer-like odor that I'm told is coming from a paper mill in New Boston.

    * Un-level sites: The sites are rolling grass hills; it is possible to park in a direction that is even (L/R) but may take some finesse.

    * The dump station is a PVC pipe protruding diagonally from the grassy ground across from the office and there is no water spigot for cleanup. I pulled the diagonal pipe out and inserted the dump hose directly into the drain below grass level. After dumping, be sure to use your gray-water to flush your dump hose.

Summary: The owner and staff are very nice and accommodating. However,$13 at the Clear Springs Park campground would have provided level sites with good drainage, a proper dump station, and perhaps less odor from the paper mill.

Lake, trees, spacious sites, friendly staff

COE park on Wright Patman Lake. Numerous sites with full hookups, many with electricity & water. The staff here are super friendly & helpful. Deer are oftentimes seen in the park. Clean restrooms with showers. Boat launch & dock. Lakeview sites have great views but no sewer hookups. Ants can be bad during summer & fall.

    Nice clean COE campground

Nice well spaced sites with level concrete pads. Lots of trees for shade in most sites. Beautiful views from the sites on the bluff. It has been quiet every time we were there . Playground ,boat ramp , nice clean showers and rest room. the staff has always been helpful. Most sites are water and electric but there may be some with full hookups . If not , there is a dump station . Very family friendly . No swimming area , but at my age that is not a big deal.

Great camping on Lake Bob Sandlin. Sites or not very level and they have full hookup , but other than that this is a great spot! Located on a point with the marina on the other side of the road! Beautiful sun rise and sunsets. Great for kayaking, fishing and just relaxing on the lake. There is a great hiking trail by the marina!

    Very clean

Nice and clean park. Quiet but only half full. Only down side is the limited amount of full hookups and then only 1 dump station. All the trail signs are new and easy to find. Camp hosts definitely do there job on checking on the park and ensuring things are taken care of. Sites are pretty good size with table, grill and fire ring. Pads are fairly level, only took 1 2x12 in the one side, make sure to bring blocks for the rear stabilizers as the pad drops off at the back.

On a bike trip with my brother using a tent, we stayed at an RV spot because we needed power for the portable AC to cool the tent. Spot was nice, pretty quite, park was full. The restrooms could use some attention and the shower wasn't that great but got the job done.

Great campground with beautiful Lake view

This is another well designed COE campground. Sites are well separated from neighbors. There are some sites (Loops D and E) that have full hookups including sewer, but the most desirable sites are in Loop B, some of which have direct views of the lake. Sites B 1 through B 14 are especially desirable. We had site B 6 which we rate excellent. I am sure that reservations must be made long in advance for these sites.

Volunteer hosts and rangers were friendly and helpful. We will be back.
