Nice campground!

We loved staying here! The view was beautiful, easy to find and drive to. We were able to get a spot right next to the boat ramp and the site had plenty of parking space for our camper, boat and truck. Only downfall: the bathrooms could be a little cleaner but they aren’t terrible and definitely usable.

Busy Place

Overnight stay here on our way to Galveston. Busy campground and we were the only tent in site, however, the loop we were in was spaced out nicely (D loop). This camp was clean. Has disc golf, trails, a pavilion, a basketball net, boat dock, volleyball net, and a swim beach. Apparently they also have church services on Sunday. While we were there the beach was flooded and, unfortunately, there was not anywhere else to swim (bummer) as the perimeter of the park is lined with large rocks. Shower house had showers separate from the restrooms. Lots of shade. Easy on/off from a major highway.

Fabulous sunsets. Fabulous campground

Pulling in, we were welcomed by a herd of 23 deer grazing in the common areas. This is one of the prettiest sites we've stayed in. SUP / kayaking, fishing, boating, biking and new friends abundant here. Bathhouse ok, although cool in March. Definitely would love to return. $24 night w/e. $12 with Interagency Senior Pass.
