A little slice of paradise in west Texas

Historic Prude Ranch! Such a lovely staff, they were incredibly accommodating and helpful. We stayed in the lower rv spots near the road because there was apparently a large group of kids staying in the upper spots. The traffic at night is nearly non-existent (at least in March) and doesn’t cause a…

Quiet Place to Stay

This park is friendly and a quiet place to stay. The spaces are generous and level. We stayed a month, so in the area for long term, the wifi is not very good, but T-Mobile and Verizon cell service are both good. The staff is friendly and we enjoyed our time here with the longer term campers. Be…

Absolutely fantastic

If you are from Texas, then you already know the legend that is Prude Ranch. I'm not sure when they added RV spots to the Ranch but you can't imagine how excited I was to find out they had. There are about two dozen spots with full hookup 30/50 in two separate camps (upper and lower). The lower…

Welcome to the desert

We arrived on a windy, cool day. The sites are level and the internet is great. There is a cafe (that will deliver breakfast and dinner to your RV if you call-in your order) and a store in the main building with any necessities (or beer) you may want or need. The staff is friendly and put our name…

Off season gem for local hiking and short stay!

This is a historic ranch down the road from Fort Davis.  The ranch serves as a summer camp for kids and groups and we did arrive in Nov so it was like having the place to ourselves (not sure how it would be with lots of kids around!).  There are two locations for RV parking; front and rear.  We…

Great Small Town RV Park

For those traveling on I-10 through Texas, it is a LONG road.  Van Horn RV Park was a place to go for a one nighter.  In this and other similar small towns, often these are ratty dirty spots filled with oil rig or solar array construction folks, so call ahead for a reservation for a specific date.…

One Night Stop

Great place to stop. Very clean. Wifi and cable TV are perfect. All gravel level sites. Lots of space between sites. Easy on/off I10. Friendly staff. Cafe on site too. Will definitely come back.

Always fun

Love the natural spring pool. It was our first time coming after renovation and it’s still beautiful. I bought a online day pass for between 8am-3pm and it was great. The weather was 100 degrees and the water was nice cold. The whole family enjoyed. I would definitely be back, worth the 8hr drive…

The gem of West Texas!

West Texas can seem like a whole lot of nothing but it has some must-see stops for travelers. The San Solomon Springs are one of the coolest things I have ever seen! The clear, beautiful water, plus the amazing array of birds and nature make for a wonderful trip. The pool is completely clear all…

absolutely gorgeous

Absolutely love love love this place. It's one of my favorites. Great view of the sky so if you are a star lover you will love this place. Lots of wild life around and beautiful sunrises/sunsets. You are a little snug next to each other at the campsites and there's not much to hiking trails but…

Crystal Clear Spring in West Texas

This gem is an oasis in the West Texas desert. Reservations go pretty fast so book ahead of time. The spring has a shallow and deep end with a high dive. It’s also a site that is used for diving certifications.
