This place is new and their facility is prestine with great FREE washing machines and all new hookups. The bad is it alligns with the airport runway perfectly, right next to the railway and highway. Most people are there full time and some keep dogs outside. As long as you are ok with all those…
The reviews are correct. Meticulously maintained and clean. Bathrooms are worth the price of admission alone. They are separate rooms with enough room for two (I have to help my disabled wife shower) and incredibly clean, new and great water pressure. Sites are flat, gravel but clean gravel- not…
Lake Brownwood area is full of trees, nice lake for boating, fishing and jet skis. The state park sits on a pretty cove of the lake. Sites 50,51 offer privacy and are close the bathroom/showers....not too close. You can see the water, but aren’t lakefront. Typical state park amenities. Sites have…
Full service park, very clean. Pool, tennis court, volleyball court, great WiFi, level sites with picnic tables. Small store with snacks and drinks.

We reserved a site here for the part of our trip between Hot Springs and Big Bend. It was a pleasant and quiet campground, and had many sites available. The cedars provided shade and the bathhouse was clean with hot water, which was amazing on a long camping road trip. There was a generator or…
We booked this in route to Austin for an overnight stay. It’s a nice little park. You pull in to the sites right off the road. It’s easily accessible and easy to leave. The bathrooms were clear. It’s next to a nice city park.
In the middle of nowhere but so awesome to stop at on a long trip. Beautiful lake with a beach. Lovely trees everywhere around your sites. Gravel but mostly level.

Stayed the night here while Traveling. They have easy pull through spots (you choose your location) and the site is clean and quiet.
10 minutes away is a town you can get groceries and eat out at restaurants.
Pretty good wifi, no password needed.
The remarkable area of this park lies not in it's campground loop. The loop is pretty, lovely even, and it looks like a lot of other campgrounds on a beautiful lake. But take a walk along the lakeshore trail and see the cabins, dance hall, and steps constructed by the CCC and you'll be transported…

We have been renting cabins here for years. Each cabin is rustic and unique. There are tons of easy trails and shore access. It has great fishing areas, bridges, and stone structures to explore as well.
We stayed here twice 10 days apart in December since it was convenient incident to a longer trip. Our first site was in Oak Grove which I thought was much superior to Pecan Grove, site-wise. Pecan Grove 66 was by some nice warm clean bathrooms and showers but the site was up a steep slant and was…
We stayed in a tent only spot for 8 days in Dec. Really quiet even with a trail behind us. Lots of winding beautiful trails. One of the cheaper Texas State Parks so the trails aren't very long.
BUT the real hidden gem was in the bathroom by the yurts. They have a disabled shower. So it's within…

We met with 18 degree temps (Feb) and our truck wouldn't start the next morning. The park staff contacted the BEST repair shop in Abilene for us, and they fixed us right up.
The park is large with many trails, bird feeder, and yurts you can rent. I bet it's nice in Spring.
This place is located close to the main gate of Dyess AFB. The spots are in the parking lot of the VFW. Not many spots to park in. Always feel Welcome here!!! Has live music in the VFW and a dance floor , some food items to purchase, and the bar area. Nice bathrooms also
It has not been established long enough to have any trees. Hot in Texas and always look for trees to shade us. Really easy to stay here and get in and out easily. Walmart is nearby also
