Have visited several times, we purchased park pass as they charge daily fee of $10 per vehicle. Joe Pool lake is part of park. It’s a big park, lots of good spaces. We stayed at site 190. It’s at end of road with privacy. Our only complaint on this site is when it rains, water pours into site and…
Lots of clean campsites with improved fire rings and concrete tables. There are full RV hookups and covered awnings at sites. There are plenty of showers, both pit and modern toilets, shared bathrooms, and private bathrooms. There are everal Beach areas with sand and awnings, covered playgrounds,…
Spacious walk-out site. Real hot in July (as expected for Texas). Fire ring and lantern like available. Overall lovely site at a great park.

This is a great campsite!! You only have one neighbor but they are across a small parking lot. You have access to a fishing dock and an entrance to Bosque Trail. The only negatives are the bathrooms are a 5 min drive away and the campsite ground was very rocky so make sure you have a good air…

Clean spacious sides, just off the highway but not to close. We spend one night on our way west.
Site 412: on the newest “row”. I will say that there is zero shade and no grass but the older spots had some rooted grass. It was a great, centrally located park. Dinosaur World is literally across the street (easily walkable) and Dinosaur Valley State Park is an easy drive (make reservations…
Treetop is a great campground. We had the pleasure to stay there during a time to celebrate our friends life. The people that worked there were very friendly and always asked if there was anything they could do. Truly a great place for the money and close to anything you would ever need.
Friendly staff at check-in. We stayed in campsite 29 which is kind of elevated a bit and we had a great view of the lake. Even tho it rained quite a bit we still enjoyed ourselves. Local sheriff’s dept and park ranger made several trips through the park which made it feel secure. Bathroom…
We loveed this campground!!! Pros: Well maintained, great layout, great location, on the water. Cons: My only criticism is that our site positioned the sewer connection uphill from our trailer. A bit tough to use.
We stopped here with our 38’ travel trailer for an overnight on our way north. The ranger at the gate was very friendly and informed us that due to flooding and the lake being 7 feet above normal, all the trails and boat dock were closed.
We had a nice shady site, #224, in Loop G, which was easy…

Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice little pool. Several small fenced dog parks. Well kept grounds. Nice pull through concrete pads that are level.
Friendly, green, trails, pool, laundry and free made to order delicious breakfast!
The issues we did have with this campsite, arriving after hours and someone taking our original spot is not the fault of the park. And other than those 2 things, our stay was great. Easy to get in, easy to sleep, and easy to get out! Great stopping point.
Gated. Level pads. Quiet. Dog park. Play ground. Wifi. Cable. Lake.
