We came down to see the beaches of Galveston and we were not disappointed! There is so much to do here that the state park makes a lot of sense.
We came down in June so it was HOT. If you want to camp in this park make sure you are going to RV it.
Also, the beaches are awesome, the wildlife is…

We stayed here because it was extremely convenient to the Ford Arena, where our grandchild was playing softball. The sites are very close together in the side we were staying at. More like a big parking lot. It had rained and it was rather flooded! The small areas of grass were unkempt. With all…

Very easy to complete reservation, all concrete streets and pads sights. Picnic table.
Pros...FHU sites with concrete pads, prices are reasonable for the area, gated, fishing right at the park, fabulous & knowledge hosts, beautiful views, & good Verizon signal.
Cons...sites are VERY close, a large rv might have a challenge navigating interior roads & parking when the…
We did see quite a bit of wildlife, observation towers were cool. Store is closed until at least 2022 when the bay side opens.

I love this park it's a great place to take your family my granddaughter loves to walk the trails, very clean
Fabulous night’s sleep and morning swim and cup of joe! The stars were excellent at night and the sea breeze made for amazing sleeping weather. The morning brought warm sun which allowed for a pleasant frolic in the ocean after waking.
Plenty of space for privacy, very quiet. Sand is very packed…
Parked on beach with nobody else in sight. Hard to beat free camping on the beach.
Saturday, March 20,2021 Surfside Beach Access Road #4 Third day here. Temp 72°, light breeze, bright sun.
A couple of other camping rigs in the distance early this morning along with two část fishermen with pickups at water’s edge. My dogs ran free.
I moved up here from Access Road #1 two…

Nice sites, nice amenities, walk to beach and great fishing on the canal side!
We spent 2 weeks here during the winter. It’s a really quiet spot with a few other RV’s here and there in the beach. We have AT&T and cell service was excellent. Weather was good while we were here although it got pretty windy a few nights. Tents may be difficult. We were in a 26’ travel…
Half mile stretch at end of access road to left is nice beach with dunes and free dispersed camping. Other sections require permit (on line or in person). Watch tides and weather, but really easy safe beach with big views. There are of course oil tankers visible and so not a pristine natural…
Check the weather! I was there the night of a tornado watch. 70 mile an hour winds and heavy rain. Got alerts on my phone but I had about 6 drinks and did not want to risk those problems, so I braved the storm. Very humbling experience. To be fair, the weather was clear when I started the 500…

We camped here over New Years. The RV circle doesn’t have a bathroom, so we had to drive over to the tent circle each time, but those bathrooms and showers are really nice. The view on the far side of the circle as you enter is spectacular, looking over the water on the bay side. The sites are…
Well kept, on the water, great pier fishing spot!
