Famous for its excellent wineries, historic small towns and natural beauty, the Hill Country also boasts a unique offering for campers known as Enchanted Rock State Park. 


Enchanted Rock is a large pink granite dome that rises 425 feet above the surrounding terrain and is the largest granite monadock in the United States. Indians, Spaniards and early settlers all had stories of magical, spiritual or unexplained happenings around the rock which gave the feature its name. These days, one of the most intriguing sights is at night, after a rain. The wet dome seems to glitter in the moonlight and while regarded as a simple play of light on the granite, the effect adds to both the mystery and enchantment of the area. 


Another intriguing site in the Hill Country is Jacob’s Well, a short 78 miles southeast from Enchanted Rock State Park. Fed by a natural artesian spring, Jacob’s Well consists of a large pool connected to a vast underground cavern system that sprawls more than 4300 feet. The spring is connected to the Trinity Aquifer and emits thousands of gallons of water each day where visitors can enjoy the cool 68 degree water. Welcome to our 2-acre property, where you have access to 50A electric hookups and water. We also offer septic dumping for a small fee. Take pleasure in the large pasture and numerous trees surrounding the area. Conveniently located, it's just a short 12-minute drive to Magnolia, Baylor, and downtown. Additionally, you can access the Brazos River and enjoy fishing, hiking, and more in just 10 minutes.

The campsite is fenced in our front pasture with water and composting toilet available.

Our front pasture houses our goats, cows, donkeys and chickens. 

  

We have two seasonal creeks that run thru the property and about 9 acres of woods to explore.

Welcome to The Mockingbird treehouse  Enjoy a peaceful retreat nestled among the Post Oak trees. Our resort is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but still just a step away from Magnolia, Homestead Heritage, and downtown.  The Mockingbird offers a loft for an extra sleep area, or a cozy place to read or take a nap. Treehouse architecture integrated with nature___s architecture. As a bird, the Mockingbird has been called ___the king of the song___ since it can imitate more than 30 birdsongs in rapid succession. It is somewhat unclear why they possess this ability, but perhaps it is simply an overwhelming urge to sing.

If you feel an overwhelming urge to ___get away from it all___ for a rest, the Mockingbird treehouse is for you. It has two bedrooms to accommodate four guests. The master is downstairs with a king-size bed. The loft provides an extra sleeping area with a full-size bed, where you could snuggle up with a good book or just nap.

The chefs among you will appreciate the kitchen area supplied with utensils, cookware, hot plate, microwave, refrigerator, and Keurig beverage maker.
