Great location

The great location. My family and me have stayed here a number of times It's less than a mile to the beach. All the stores and restaurants are all close. Full hook ups along with a sewer. Like any RV park, the spots are close together and tight. They have some pull through, but most are back in.

Very tight park

Sites are very close together. Had to move sites due to my 19’ camper would not fit into the space they assigned. Cable only had 2 channels.

Nice Location

Park is centrally located to everything! Restaurants, bars and beaches are all very close.

Resort has a pool, however had been closed the entire duration of our stay (Feb 2022 thru April 2022).

You can use the pool across the street at Island Resort - and it is very nice, but not heated!

Convenient Location and Nice Amenities

We’ll maintained park within walking distance to marina and great restaurants. Sites have concrete pads and picnic tables. Plenty long, but very close together. Nice landscaping and great pool and hot tubs. Shower house is super clean and so is laundry. You can rent golf carts here for $100 (24 hours). A short drive to the beach.

Frequently Asked Questions

What RV amenities and facilities are available at Tropic Island Resort in Port Aransas?

Tropic Island Resort offers full hookups including water, electric, and sewer connections for RVs. The park features a pool and hot tubs, though availability may vary seasonally. Additional amenities include clean shower houses, laundry facilities, and concrete pads with picnic tables at each site. Golf cart rentals are available on-site for approximately $100 per day. The resort is well-maintained with nice landscaping throughout the property. Guests can also access the pool at Island Resort across the street as an alternative option.

How do Tropic Island Resort Port Aransas reviews compare to other Mustang Island RV parks?

Tropic Island Resort stands out for its excellent location and clean facilities compared to other Mustang Island options. The central positioning near restaurants, bars, and beaches is frequently highlighted as a major advantage. While the resort receives positive marks for its well-maintained grounds and amenities like the pool and hot tubs, the close proximity of sites is noted as a drawback. The park's convenience factor and accessibility to Port Aransas attractions make it a popular choice despite the tight spacing between RVs.

What types of RV sites does Tropic Island Resort offer on Mustang Island?

Tropic Island Resort offers a mix of back-in and pull-through RV sites. All sites feature concrete pads and picnic tables, with full hookups including water, electric, and sewer connections. While the sites are plenty long to accommodate various RV sizes, they are positioned quite close together, which can make spacing tight. The resort can accommodate different sized RVs, though larger units may find some assigned spots challenging, as evidenced by instances where smaller campers (even 19-footers) sometimes need to switch sites for better positioning.

What beachfront access is available at Tropic Island Resort in Port Aransas?

Tropic Island Resort isn't directly on the beach, but offers convenient beach access less than a mile away. This short distance makes it easy for guests to visit the beach regularly during their stay. The central location places visitors near both the beach and marina area, allowing for diverse coastal activities. For guests wanting to explore the shoreline, the resort's golf cart rentals provide a fun transportation option to nearby beach access points.
