Amazing price and friendly!

So reasonably priced and owners go out of their way to help, from booking to advice and suggestions on area attractions.

Lovely land along the Colorado River

While the RV sites are a bit plain, with minimal trees, a small fire ring and basic picnic table, the area that you are in is very beautiful. It's a short walk over to the Colorado River, and you can walk the dirt roads of the land to explore much more of the property. Colorado Bend State Park is a…

Epic beach camping

Wow, such an amazing camping experience! We boondocked with our 36ft motorhome right on the beach.

$12 to get in and stay as much as you’d like. Busy on weekends but very quiet during the week.

They allow driving on the beach here from access #5 and north of it. Watch the tides, best to get in…

Great Spot

10 acres in the Texas hill country. Located minutes from Burnet and Lampasas. Highly wooded and secluded with great hill country views. If you are up for a relaxing getaway and getting back in touch with mother nature, this is the spot.

Quiet country campground

It's a nice property to explore. There's a lot of camp sites here, both for RV and primative tent camping. In fact we liked the primative sites better just for the inclusive nature surroundings. The campground is right on a bend of the colorado river and it's good for swimming, fishing, floating,…

Beautiful Park

This was our first camping trip in our new RV and we couldn’t have picked a better spot! Borders the Colorado River, clean park, friendly staff and great customer service! Loved their “friendly neighbor” agreement with Colorado Bend State Park to allow their campers access to the park even when…

Safari & RV Park in Central Texas

Found this place while browsing for somewhere to escape for the weekend during the COVID lockdown. Location is a couple years old and really nice. Full hookups and great free WiFi service. All the RV and camping amenities, very clean and well maintained. The drive through safari is an extra $15 per…

Hidden oasis, Texas

This place is a hidden oasis in the middle of Texas. Spread out sites makes it feel like you’re the only one in the park. If you like quiet, this is the place for you to relax and recharge. You can experience all of Texas’ topography within a days hike; river bends, rain forest, and cactus filled…

Amazing scenery

This scenery is breathtaking. We have been twice and will go again. The owners are the friendliest people ever and the views are beyond description. The river runs along the park and it’s very close proximity to one of our favorite hikes to Gorman Falls.

  • Walkway from the park to the river
  • Nearby Spicewood Springs
  • Very close to Gorman falls

Beautiful views -

  • I wouldn’t call it “primitive” camping although spaced out, still close to neighbors. Not as many options for fishing from the camp sites as I had expected, lots of safety patrols, friendly staff, clean sites. Overall a good experience. Will return.

Great family owned spot

We've camped here twice. The family hows owns and manages it is very welcoming and accommodating. The last trip we got flooded in and or tent got flooded out everything was soaked and there was no way out of the park. The owners let us use a washer and dryer to get warm dry clothes and bedding for…

Awesome city park

The city park has a few pull-through sites and tent camping sites along the creek. Sites have water and electric. There is a dump station as you leave the park. The area is well shaded, and has a good sized playground for the little ones. Park has horseshoes, tennis, baseball diamonds,…

Beautiful RV setting

Barefoot camp has been around for ever and I can see why. It’s on private property and you have to drive about 7 miles down a road with cattle guards. Anything over 24ft take it easy. You can walk to the Colorado River and swim or float. The cliffs are amazing. Very close to Colorado Bend State…

Awesome Beach Camping

This is one of my favorite places to camp in South Texas. Cameron County recently made this into Edwin King Atwood Cameron County Park. The site is just a few miles north of the convention center on the northern end of South Padre Island. They have a controlled gate at the access #5 gate and…
