Great weekend getaway!

Went here with the kids and my brother in law and his family. Was able to get 2 spots side by side right by the water park.

Kids loved every minute of our stay! Had plenty of things to keep them busy! Will be back soon!

Cute little park

The park was small, but nice. We loved waking up to see a pasture full of cows behind us. The manager was very polite. I would stay here again.

Pop-Up Thunderstorm

Nice access to the lake. Campground hosts are very helpful, gate is locked at night so keep the email with the code if you want in late or out early. We got caught in a pop-up shower with the rain fly off lol but then again, that’s camping.

Trails - Lake - Clean camping

Very good cross country mountain bike trails and hiking trails around the lake. You will need a mountain bike to ride the trails due to the roots.

Enjoyed our stay

On our first trip to Arkansas, enjoyed our stay here. Stayed a couple of days acclimating 2 dogs to life in a rig. We experienced an issue with some equipment and the manager stepped in quickly and was able to provide a solution. Everyone we met there was very friendly and we loved sitting outside…

Immaculate grounds and facilities.

This is our second year at Shallow Creek. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The grounds, laundry and shower rooms are clean and well kept. Level parking sites with full hook ups, easy access, picnic tables and park-like lighting are the things we appreciate at this RV resort.

Nice Overnight Stay but Beware...

We stayed one night at Martin Creek Park in our travel trailer on our way to the next destination. Site 40 was wooded and very spacious. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring and ours had water and electric. There was a dump station available. The other reviewers mention the ants, but we…

Its was quite first week of February 2021

Its was nice and quiet just me and angel my faithful companion we just spent a Sunday make some lunch and try to fish a little but 👎. We walk wrong to see the little park, and meet a gentleman name Billy, very nice guy. Not much of maintenance trash and glass in some spots.

Huge!

Lots of thoughtfulness in the layout and work of this camp. The trail that goes around the lake truly goes around so it's a trail runners dream. Playground is substantial and well away from cars. Bathrooms could be bigger but are clean. Tons of options and good signage.

And super safe!

Primitive Camping

My wife and I did our first camp at Martin Creek Lake state park the other week. It was a great smaller state park. We highly recommend their primitive camping option on the island. Remember to bring your wagon, the parking lot is a good 70 yards to the camp sites.

Excellent cross county 1-night rest

We pulled in late and stayed one night.  The owner greeted us and the welcome was genuine and warm. While the site had many long term residence. Our site was good with easy full hook ups, drive through, but required side leveling. The small pond was great to walk around and chat by.  Some noise…

Quaint Wooded Poorly Maintained Campground

This is an X-Texas State Park that really needs some overdue TLC.

After making reservations over the phone 163 days prior to arriving and prepaying the entire amount, we were told at check-in there was no record of our reservation. Once we got through that confusion we were had to ask for…
