Camp and go tubing or kayaking on the sunny Brazos River. We have river front RV Spots, pull thru, as well as Shaded Spots. We have a back 40 dedicated just for primitive camping, and if you love to fish, then we are for you! On Sat night in the Spring and Summer we have Dancing and Karaoke in our Party Barn.

It is BYOB and there is no glass allowed please. We do allow friendly pets, but they must be on a leash at all times. It is best to make a reservation in the summer time.

Hillbilly Haven Recreational Vehicle Park

Sites #89-108 in the Cross Timbers Camping Area. Non-equestrian tent camping and small trailers (20 feet or less) are also allowed in these sites. Sites have pull-off parking; they do not have electricity. Maximum combination of people and/or horses is eight per site. Be prepared to use a "string line" to secure horses; do not tie horses to trees or shrubs. You must dispose of manure and waste hay. All horses need a negative Coggins test less than 12 months old.

If you’re ever passing through the Lone Star state, don’t miss this Texan favorite. Lake Mineral Wells is located in–surprise–Mineral Wells, Texas, just west of Fort Worth. The park is described as not only gorgeous and scenic, but also great for the whole family, too. The biggest attraction to this park, besides the lake from which its namesake comes, is that the space here is perfect for camping and extended hikes. The lake provides visitors a refreshing opportunity to cool off, as swimming is one of the most popular recreational activities here. Fishermen and women will be rewarded with an abundance of crawfish and bass, another reason this destination is a local favorite. On top of that, Penitentiary Hollow in the park is one of the few places in Northern Texas where one can try their hand at climbing natural rock formations. Visitors at Lake Mineral Wells also have a variety of picturesque trails to choose from. Trails here are known to be so scenic you’ll have to fight the urge to stop for a photo op every few moments. It’s easy to imagine why, too! Just picture yourself following one of the trails that leads down to the lake: to your left you see a turtle happily sunbathing on a boulder, while wild deer and scavenging squirrels look for something to munch on to your right. In total there are over 31 miles of trails you can hike or bike on, and 25 of those allow you to explore on horseback. If you do bring your horse with you, equestrian campsites are available at the same rate as primitive campsites, $14 per person per day. These campsites are first come, first serve however, so you may want to come prepared if you’re planning a weekend trip. However other campsites, including ones with water and electricity hookups, start at $26 and accept reservations. Screened shelters and group accommodations are also offered here, but visitors should also be aware that an entrance fee of $7 per adult per day applies to all types of accommodations in the park.

in 2017 we introduced our new 35-person Lodge and Lake Godstone™️ to the market …. and families, church youth groups and sports teams responded immediately with retreats of all kinds and sizes. From birthday and graduation parties, to gatherings of family groups from all over Texas and Oklahoma.. junior and high school sports teams … church camps for kids and adult groups…. Business Retreats….our unique venue offers something for everyone.

Since then we have added five partially covered docks with swim ladders and canoe moorings, seven kayaks, five canoes, a row boat, four pedal boats, two water lily pads, a sports field complex with a lit basketball court, sand volleyball court, baseball and soccer practice field, an observatory, four miles of mountain bike and hike trail around our forested lake and upper wooded meadow, two new fishing ponds, four wildlife feed and water stations with viewing towers, a bird view house overlooking our beaver pond, and six miles of all-weather roads to enhance the exploration of our 188 acre wildlife and nature paradise. Our UTV's, golf cart and pontoon boat are available for rent to further enhance the enjoyment of your retreat.

During the last year we have further developed our venue with the addition of a three-bedroom guest home, four fully furnished cabins, three primitive cabins, two group campgrounds, eight secluded RV and tenting campsites and numerous (unserviced) primitive tenting sites in the trees around our campus. Our group campgrounds and campsites are served by a new comfort station with restrooms and showers and each campsite has power and water, picnic tables, charcoal grills and large fire pits. Each of the group campgrounds have shelters and one has a tree house shelter. And a new campground office and store is now open.

It's about a 2-mile hike to campgrounds. These sites do not have water, restrooms nearby, fire rings or grills. Sites are only reservable at park headquarters. You must arrive during office hours and at least two hours before dusk to purchase a permit.

Enchanted Rock is a large pink granite dome that rises 425 feet above the surrounding terrain and is the largest granite monadock in the United States. Indians, Spaniards and early settlers all had stories of magical, spiritual or unexplained happenings around the rock which gave the feature its name. These days, one of the most intriguing sights is at night, after a rain. The wet dome seems to glitter in the moonlight and while regarded as a simple play of light on the granite, the effect adds to both the mystery and enchantment of the area. 


Another intriguing site in the Hill Country is Jacob’s Well, a short 78 miles southeast from Enchanted Rock State Park. Fed by a natural artesian spring, Jacob’s Well consists of a large pool connected to a vast underground cavern system that sprawls more than 4300 feet. The spring is connected to the Trinity Aquifer and emits thousands of gallons of water each day where visitors can enjoy the cool 68 degree water. Jacob’s Well is a popular and welcome retreat from the famous Texas heat!
