    Mustang Hollow Campground

    Campground needs TLC

Fine place to stop on the way through and very friendly staff. There is a petting zoo with miniature donkeys and horses, goats and emus! This was a wonderful treat feeding the critters. Sites are small, dirt and uneven. Pictures show a playground, dog park, etc., however, none of these things exist. It looks like they did at one point, but not in the last decade. No atvs or activities listed on website which was frustrating for the kids. Lake was entirely dry—of course no fault of the campground, but didn’t allow for fishing, etc. There were plenty of sites available but we were placed right by the train tracks and main highway. I do understand why, though, because there are quite a few permanent folks toward the back of the park.

    Firefly Coastal Bend- Corpus Christi

The people at Firefly are CROOKS!

Good day- My name is John and my wife and I live in Dana, North Carolina... Just south of Asheville. Back in May, I had booked two(2) RV spots(one for us and one for dear friends coming in from California). I booked for a week, running from 5- 12 October, at a total(pre-paid) cost of$1,433. However, on Friday, 27 September(8 days before our trip), our region experienced Hurricane Helene. One hundred and twenty feet of our driveway was wiped out- totally washed away. The main road to our home was also washed away. Roads in and out of the area were destroyed and there were thousands of downed trees and power poles. The destruction was and remains hard to convey. We lost power and all communications for 13 days. We had no way in or out of our property for over a week. On Monday, 30 September, I was able to hike out to our local post office where I found I had one bar on my phone. I called family and friends, including the other couple that we were supposed to meet At the Firefly RV Resort. I explained the situation to them and asked them to call Firefly, cancel the reservation and,(given the circumstances) ask for a refund. The staff at Firefly were beyond rude and refused any consideration of a refund. When pressed on the matter by our friends, and stressing the dire conditions that all of North Carolina was facing, the Manager at Firefly told our friends the following-- and this is a direct quote:"Well, if the government would stop sending money to Ukraine, maybe they would have money to give to North Carolina." Enough said. I would strongly ask all conscientious RV-ers to BOYCOTT the Firefly RV Resort.

    Firefly Coastal Bend

Firefly Coastal Bend Resort in Corpus Christi is the perfect getaway! The resort is incredibly family-friendly and pet-friendly, making it an ideal destination for everyone. The private beach is stunning, and the fishing spots are fantastic for those looking to relax by the water. The staff is amazing—always helpful and welcoming—and the management company is doing a phenomenal job keeping everything running smoothly. We can’t wait to come back and make even more memories here!

Lake Corpus Christi State Park Campground

    Labor Day Weekend

Clean campground, was very windy right off the lake in spot 063. But quick access to the beach and fishing were nice. Picnic table was gross with bird droppings all over it and the concrete pad. Bathrooms were hit or miss. Men’s was clean and usable, women’s was ok but got worse throughout the day and evening and unusable (toilets were clogged) by the evening.

    Support Veteran Owners

Recently stayed here cause we got in late and they were the only 1 open to take us in. Well lighten up and loved the laundry room. The manager came out to settle up the next morning and even gave us a free rv mug for our stay. Pet friendly.  Showers  were nice & clean! Wish the pool was open because we had to stay another night but we were told it will be ready soon. The friendly German Shepherd was a bonus since we had our pets out and seems to be unbothered them😳. We will be back for sure. Thank you for the pleasant stay.

    Run down

This is one of the more rundown campgrounds that we have stayed at and it needs a lot of work.

    Short try

If you come her, don’t get the cheat site. No shade! Trees everywhere else but here. They have a swimming pool but nobody is using it! Don’t know why. It’s the middle of June!!

    Colonia Del Rey RV Park

    Good value

This place is centrally located near a lot of services and activities. There's lots of pavement, which is not a huge selling point, but the dust is greatly reduced as a result. There's a small swimming pool and a large laundry. Bathrooms and showers are very clean. Personnel are very accommodating. There's a mix of short and long term residents. There's a decent amount of walking within the park, but outside the park is not that great. I didn't feel terribly safe. There are dogs running around without humans present and some homeless in the local park. The car wash next door is a great value and I was able to get my truck with extra high canopy washed for cheap. All in all, I thought it was a good place to stay.

    Seawind RV Resort

    Great water view sites!

Seawind RV Resort is a nice, no-frills RV resort in Riviera, Texas on Baffin Bay. The park is adjacent to the waterfront park, beaches, boat launches, and fishing piers. Our site has views of the bay. The RV park offers large FHU sites with 50 amp. They take Good Sam discount and Passport America, which we used. The staff is friendly and the park is clean. We will definitely stay here again.

    Great People and Location

We stayed here for 2 months prior to moving. The park is nothing fancy as far as scenery goes, however, the people and community here is top notch. The park is close to H-E-B and not too far from multiple beaches.

    not what it seems

I will not go back there. There are loos dog running around. My Dog all most got jump on. The fishing marina has close for 2 years. The only you can us is the boat ramp. You cant fish from the bank. The Rv site are to close to each other,It is mostly a place if you going to live there. Even if I was going to do that it would not be THERE.

Nice Mil CG just prepare for stay

This is our 2nd time staying here.
This park is aka Shields. Park has 2 sections. Sect A has grass sites. Sect B has concrete pads and a separate area for tents. Each section has a laundry room and shower building. We stayed in B. Sites are wide and level and have full hookups with 30/50 amp. Good water pressure. Sites are all back ins, Big rig friendly and easy to set up. No matter where you park there is a nice view of the Bay.
I'd give it a 5 star rating but there are a few items that need to be fixed or prepared for. 1st the roads really need to be repaired. Potholes are horrible in some areas. 2nd the picnic tables are so rusted through that many are unusable. 3rd the goat heads or grass burrs are a nightmare especially if you step on one in the middle of the night. Ouch!! LOL If you have dogs (we do) they absolutely can't run in the grass. We bought our pups doggy boots which help some. And this time we brought our leaf blower to blow them off the concrete pad. 4th the winds here can reach 60 mph. Just prepare for it by never leaving awnings out and when bad bring slides in so awning toppers don't get ripped off. (It happened to our neighbors last year) Ants, there are tons of them. I use citronella spray around our leveling gear and tires to deter them from living with us. Lastly if you don't want salt on your rigs don't come here. There are times when its so thick you could use an ice scraper.
Even with those items we really like it here. You can't beat the location to Padre Island and Port Aransas. The sunsets are amazing and walking the private beach daily is never tiring.

    Corpus Christi KOA

    Very Clean!!

When you arrive, the KOA team member escorts you to your site. This eliminates someone being in your spot. The KOA offers free delivery of ice and bait and curbside trash pick up. I had a weird sound when turning on my propane. I called the office to see if by chance they knew what it could be. They sent over the site managers and they tightened up my propane line and checked my fridge to make sure all was good. Only downfall is the price visitors have to pay to visit ($10).
