Lakeside Campsite

Large RV park with many amenities and activities. I tent camped and cooked out the back of the Jeep at a back-in RV site that sure seemed to be the best spot of them all. The site itself was really large with huge old trees for hammocks. We had our own private access to the lake that was secluded…

Off the beaten path

We evacuated from Ida to this park. Secluded quiet place near Roanoke and Grapevine. Would go back!!

Bad Management

It was like walking on eggshells never knowing when the manager would just go crazy screaming at guests. Dogs are not encouraged to socialize and neither are guests. The land is beautiful but the owner and manager lack common courtesy and general business sense at times. So much wasted potential.

Big Rig Friendly

This is a new campground and very nice. All sites are pull thru (approx 80’) with a lot of space between spaces. Grass is about 80% in for the pups. They have cabins, kids pool, adult only pool, large play ground and a club house. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Easy access…

Well maintained, Lots of Shade

The park was well maintained and had lots of amenities. Quite the community feel. Our spot was 171 and was very well shaded, the only thing is our trailer was level but we felt like we were leaning back. We were by the dog park but only experienced bad smell once. The staff was nice, friendly and…

Awesome river access

Of course as the name suggests, a great way to learn about prehistoric creatures and a chance to see their footprints, it has an amazing river access to swim or relax during the day! The water is clean and not too deep, but gets deeper near the blue hole to swim.

Clean and manicured

We've stayed at Twin Coves several times, this is an excellent site for both RV/Tent camping and Cabins.

Great place to spend the night

We arrived late at night and the lady here was very accommodating and friendly. The place has power and sewer hock up, all the comforts for a RV

Beautiful and Clean

This was our first camping trip and Wise County Park did not disappoint!! The lake is so pristine and the camping spots are fairly large and ours was right on the water. We could park right next to our spot and put our boat in with the boat ramp that we could see from our spot. The bathrooms and…

Beautiful Texas State Park

We had plenty of space to spread out and relax. Rented a pontoon and saw Hell's gates worth the stop. Spent most of the time swimming and fishing from shore. This is one of the clearer lakes in Texas.

South Primitive Site 4

Spacious walk-out site. Real hot in July (as expected for Texas). Fire ring and lantern like available. Overall lovely site at a great park.

Good place to spend a night

Clean spacious sides, just off the highway but not to close. We spend one night on our way west.

Great for kids and nature

Site 412: on the newest “row”. I will say that there is zero shade and no grass but the older spots had some rooted grass. It was a great, centrally located park. Dinosaur World is literally across the street (easily walkable) and Dinosaur Valley State Park is an easy drive (make reservations…

Nice place

I love camping here the employees are always welcoming and personable - they work hard to keep it clean and peaceful. The swimming area is nice and the camping spots are spaced well
