Good stay

We stayed here for 2 nights on our way through Texas and had a pleasant stay. It was nice and quiet. There’s some workout equipment in the clubhouse, laundry, and private bathrooms with showers. Owner was nice and super flexible/relaxed. Check out time was noon, which worked great for us! My dog enjoyed lots of sniffing out at the dog run. We didn’t venture out except to eat bc it was so hot - but we got some great Mexican food at Broadway Cafe in town! Really convenient to have the truck stop right next door as well.

Great park for stop over

Great staff to work with. Listen to them. Do not follow GPS. Heading west on I-10 exit 140B then turn right into the park. Super easy. The park has pull throughs. Full hookups. A coinop ice machine. Within walking distance of two truck stops and one cafe.

VanHorn, Tx….Nice location

Easy off I-10. Sites are large with full hookups, level and spotless. They have a newly renovated office with a very small workout area in the corner, mail boxes, and then the rest of it is full of sinks and chairs and a hot tub, so basically a junk room. They have several nice restrooms with showers. Laundry room was clean but only 2 dryers worked. The dryers are marked $1 but they’re actually $2. One dryer works really well but the other one may need additional time. Which is irritating as you’re already paying $2 and you’d need to put in another $2 just to finish up. I guess they keep saying they’ll get them repaired but it’s been a year already and it hadn’t happened. They have 4 washers and 4 dryers but apparently they have no exhaust and if you use more than 2 at a time it blows a fuse or something. This is a real pain in the butt. I’m sure I’m not alone but laundry is not one of my fav things to do- so making it last longer was SO great! 🤬 The campground had a huge dog park and a small run. We were afraid to let ours loose in the larger one cuz you could see a big gap at the bottom along the fence line where they could get out. For some reason ours weren’t at all impressed with the run. They always love dog parks but wanted nothing to do with this one. There is absolutely nothing to do in this area. There is a fuel station that’s walkable with a Wendy’s but that’s it. The place has no grass just dirt.

Quiet, Pleasant Stay

This is a clean and quiet spot. It’s right next to the elevated section of I-10, so you don’t hear much highway noise. They are currently rebuilding the office and workout space.

There is a well stocked convenience store and gas station across the highway.

No pool.

Good for a night’s rest

At 4,000’ elevation Mountain View is in the desert of southwest Texas. The park has some permanent and long term residents as well as overnight sites. Sites are level with FHU’s. Park is currently being updated with the shower rooms and laundry room being closed. Fantastic views of the mountains, especially at sunset.

Excellent!

Stayed here for one night for only $38. Full hookups with good WiFi and cable. Huge dog run and very clean bathrooms/showers/laundry facilities. Extremely easy access right off the highway. Super clean and well maintained with an excellent view....sunset was fantastic. Staff was very friendly! Highly recommend!

Convienient , quiet and clean ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Mt. View was conveniently located right off the exit in Van Horn. Best option of the three options in this area. The desert night was cool and it I had a feeling it was going to be a perfect night to get some rest with the windows open. I pulled in and stopped at the front office. They were closed so I picked up a form which I would turn in the next morning. There seemed to be an abundance of pads available which was a nice surprise. I found a nice corner spot next to a shady hickory tree. The lot is very well maintained. Each pad had a nice light, 30 and 50 amp with water and sewer. I especially appreciated that the sewer line sat just above the ground which made dumping a breeze. I later ended up picking up a Camco 20'ft Sidewinder Sewer Hose support which I’ve found take stress off the release outlet. Overall my stay was quite nice and I definitely would stay again if in the area. The staff was friendly and the showers were clean. However the shower stalls could use some updating. Nice laundry facilities available and it appears they are adding a few more amenities in the future. My stay cost me $50. Cell service was great as well. Nice access of I-10 great overnight spot.
