Quiet, Pleasant Stay

This is a clean and quiet spot. It’s right next to the elevated section of I-10, so you don’t hear much highway noise. They are currently rebuilding the office and workout space.

There is a well stocked convenience store and gas station across the highway.

No pool.

A Little Pricey But Super Nice

The road in is a bit narrow but don’t give up! You will make it without any trouble. Very nice and well managed campground with many amenities, including a shuttle. Quiet.

It’s Monterey so I don’t think their prices are out of line. I called after they closed and the manager answered and was able to get me in a space, which I really appreciated.

Quiet, Dark State Park

Amazing camping away from road, aircraft, and city noises. Great staff. Clean and dark at night for amazing stargazing.

Beautiful Spots on the River

Beautiful easy to access spots right next to the river. The current was too swift for swimming g while we were there but that may change later in the summer. The was was too chilly for me in any case.

The sites do not have have power or water or sewer hookups. There is a dump station and water fill station.

Pleasant Site in Bozeman

This site is in the fairgrounds in Bozeman. You can stay a max of ten days out of 30, and they have power but no water or sewage hookups. They do have a water fill station for a fee. Some sites are gravel, some asphalt, all very level. You get the equivalent of two parking spaces.

It’s a quiet location away from major roads. Even in summer the weather is mild so we opted for the cheaper option without electrical hookups. We then had two days I. The 90s, but the rest of our stay will be in the 80s and in the 40s at night.
