This is a nice little place to stay for a couple of days. Quick drive over to see the silos downtown (around 10 minutes I think) and get a croissant at Magnolia Bakery. Very nice owner that allowed us to extend our checkout when we discovered we needed to get new tires for our trailer and had to make arrangements. We were at lot 59, which runs horizontal with the creek. Very nice plot. It’s also at the very front of the campground, so it’s not close to where the bulk of the campers are staying. It is a gravel site, so we did have to do some leveling when we got there, and no fire pit. We also had a bit of shade from a tree. If you want to have access to Waco but have a country feel, this is a great place to stay :)
We just stayed here for 3 nights and had a wonderful stay. Lots of trees for shade and it’s right beside the river. Each site had a picnic table and a fire pit.
We stayed here for 2 nights on our way through Texas and had a pleasant stay. It was nice and quiet. There’s some workout equipment in the clubhouse, laundry, and private bathrooms with showers. Owner was nice and super flexible/relaxed. Check out time was noon, which worked great for us! My dog enjoyed lots of sniffing out at the dog run. We didn’t venture out except to eat bc it was so hot - but we got some great Mexican food at Broadway Cafe in town! Really convenient to have the truck stop right next door as well.
