Southern Star RV Park

I stayed here three nights and have no complaints. There was someone here when I arrived. My paperwork was waiting for me. I parked hooked up and never had any issues. I was in site three which has a view of the open lot to the north, the mountain with the capital V on it and a section of the railroad. The road noise from the interstate the RR and the delivery trucks next-door was not disturbing. Like you can see on the maps and read in the reviews. it's just to High Desert natural gravel parking lot with full hook ups. I would mark it down just a bit because it would be so easy to clean up some of the litter that has blown around and is stuck in the bushes, the trees and the fences. Everyone was quiet.

This is a small RV park in Van Horn. Right on the main road and easy access off I-10. Clean restrooms and showers, friendly staff. Full hook ups, 30/50 amp. But it is a dusty gravel lot. On the plus side the sites are level. Between I-10 (on the I-10 business loop) and the railway there is a lot of noise.

Typical parking lot style RV park. Bathrooms were fine. It was within walking distance to some local restaurants and we were treated to a beautiful sunset.
