Check for burn ban before you book!

Stayed in the RV site, and everything was as expected. Grounds were kept, clean, and over all park was pretty quite in the evening. My only complaint was that there was a burn ban that we didn't find out about till we arrived. I booked online, via the state parks website. Other parks in the region had a notice advising about the burn ban. This one did not, so I assumed camp fires were permitted. We cooked hot dogs and burgers on a propane stove that night. Total bummer. Otherwise, the camping was great.

Dry camping

Dry camping just off the parking lot for the boat sites have awnings, and tables. Grounds are not "kept", but aren't overgrown. Playground nearby, and bathrooms are a short walk from the camp sites. Can't camp on the water, as vehicles are not allowed with in 150yards of the shoreline. Marina has some groceries and essentials, and a restaurant with pretty good burgers.

Nice get away in Lubbock

Overall, a pretty nice place to camp. Sites are clean and maintained. Same for public facilities. Marina, and restaurant at the boat ramps with live music on the weekends, in the warmer months. Fishing is pretty decent too. Place does get pretty packed on holidays, and tends to get alil rowdy and loud.
