Park is beautiful and lake views are amazing however the grass on our site had not been cut. The Bathouse was not cleaned properly the entire week that we stayed there. There was an older gentleman that used a water hose to spray out the bath house. We never seen any type of cleaning other than…
Nice, clean campground. Used the primitive camping, everything was well taken care of. The rangers are informative and friendly. The employees, the same. Real nice place to stay.
Quaint park tucked away in the hills of VA in Big Stone Gap next to South Fork Powell River. Although our site is right on top of our neighbor, that is NOT the norm. Sites are spaced out with some full-timers, part-timers and vacationers. The owner allowed us to choose our site, and after having…

Had a great weekend at Natural Tunnel State Park. This campground stays booked up but was able to get in on a cancellation for the upcoming weekend. Just happened to be the one day a year the tunnel is open to walk through (it’s an active railroad and closed otherwise).

I started out coming here with my grandparents in 1978 every summer spending 2 to 4 weeks during the summer up here. Back then it was was all primitive camp sites with no electricity or water hook ups. There were 3 loops with campsites A,B,& C loops each loop had a women's & a men's…
Very friendly family run campground. Very clean and well landscaped complete with a pavilion and plenty of grills.
Very beautiful place!! Our campsite was on the bank of the river with a fire pit and very level soft ground. About half a mile from a nice little gas station and a KFC s well, which is nice for ice trips or chicken runs. The owner is extremely friendly, kind, considerate, and I will most definitely…

We stay here several times a year. Very clean facilities, friendly hosts, and a wonderful location on the lake. Site #25 is our favorite, though it could be more level, but the privacy, size, and shade are perfect for us.

Had a site back in by their cabins that was just off the lake which was great for fishing and the kids to explore!
Awesome, clean and plenty of space between camp sites. Bathrooms and showers kept clean and laundry was great. We stayed 2 weeks. You are always from Walmart, but there are several little stores for essentials. The canal at the park leads you to Carr Lake.
Very clean and friendly. Bathrooms were great and has a laundry facility
Stayed 20 feet from the water on a holiday weekend! Staff was great!
We stayed here in June 2019 for three days in our pop up at a site with electricity. No water is available. The campground is heavily wooded with space between sites. There are trails nearby, however several trails had bridges that were rotted away and not passable. There was a volunteer crew…
The campisites are beautiful! Every thing is well maintained. The hike to the creek is indeed a hike, pack very light. They provide everything you need.

Spent two nights and three amazing days at this privately owned campsite. This campsite is in the mountains so be prepared for amazing views and a steep drive up to the office to check in.
We stayed in the Pavilion and loved it! We had a bit of a climb down the mountain on a well kept path to the…
