Site selection strategy: Research specific site numbers before booking. "The main camping section was laid out long ago, with older style short sites and water/electric only. Many of the sites are narrow and some have challenging access. Be sure to read site descriptions and check the suggested trailer size- they seriously mean the max size!!" emphasizes Sara M.
Hookup availability: Not all campgrounds offer full hookups. "Warrior's Path is a great State Park. The grounds are mostly maintained and well kept. There's plenty to do within the park itself. If I had to list any negatives it would be that there's no wifi or cable and no sewer hookup," notes Michael S.
Concrete pads available: Some campgrounds offer more stable surfaces. "KOA I-40/Crossville, TN - We stayed one night in October, full hook ups, 50 amp, good wifi until the evening but our cell service was good. Nicely maintained park with level concrete sites in the front with grass, fire rings and picnic tables that were in excellent condition," shares Karen about Leeman Field Park.
