Pine Haven Venue & Lodging

We had a great experience at Pine Haven! It’s a brand new wedding venue with cabins and RV spots. Some of the cabins are still under construction as well as the office. But if you all need is a nice, quiet place to stay, walk your dog, see Mt. Rushmore and do some stargazing, this is it! We had the park practically to ourselves, which was a nice break after several crowded parks. Sites are fairly level and the exterior lighting posts are a very nice touch. We decided to leave early due to some inclement weather predicted for later this week, and they even offered a refund for those nights - excellent customer service. The closest town Rapid City has a decent downtown area and has all of the big box stores you’d expect, and there are several very touristy things to do around Mt. Rushmore. And of course Mt. Rushmore itself is a must see! There are several places to stay right beside there, but this location was more secluded, quiet and spacious. Great stay!

Jake helped me with a late check in (unplanned mechanical issues) and it turned out to be a great night. Love the campgrounds (all new, modern and tasteful), and Jake is one of the friendliest people I’ve met after 5 weeks on the road. Will definitely come back for a longer stay , love it here!!!
