Driving North Pole Road to reach this dispersed site in Black Hills National Forest takes patience. Usable sites don't appear until roughly 2.5 miles in, and road traffic runs heavier than many campers expect. Turnaround space is limited at some spots, so rigs may need to back out onto the road. Cell service is available, pets are welcome, and alcohol is permitted. This site makes sense for self-sufficient campers comfortable navigating narrow forest roads with limited infrastructure.
