Lazy JD RV Park

Accessible by paved road, Lazy JD RV Park operates seasonally from May through October in rural Piedmont. The campground accommodates RVs up to 50 feet with full hookups including electric, water, and sewer connections. Reservations are available, and the facility accepts cash payments only.

The park sits in a rural setting where deer and bluebirds frequent campsites. Across the road, a small herd of longhorn cattle grazes in adjacent pastures. Many guests stay for extended seasonal periods, creating a community atmosphere during summer months. The campground fills up regularly with long-term visitors.

Shower and laundry facilities serve the park, with one washer and dryer operating on an honor system. Brooke B. notes the "shower house and laundry facilities were clean and great." The laundry area stocks local area information and reading materials. Site conditions can vary, particularly during wet weather when some areas become muddy.

The location provides access to Black Hills attractions including Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial, Deadwood, and Custer State Park. For different camping experiences, Elk Creek RV Park Lodge & Resort offers resort-style amenities nearby.

Over=priced Mud Pit

Pre-paid for a one month stay, $750, which turned out to be $200 more than some very nice campgrounds in the area.  Stayed one day after sitting in mud.  Owners not interested in spending $ to keep the place in good shape.  Opened to Campers on April 1st, even though the shower/laundry facility was not open.
