Perfect family vacation

Short-stay is a beautiful camp right on Lake Moultrie a short distance from Charleston, SC. They have descent wifi and an pretty well stocked camp store, but the main attraction is huge Lake Moultrie. Great for fishing, swimming, camping, RV, and much more. There is a swimming beach and the camp store has boat kayak rental and propane tank refill. The sites on the lake have full hook-up and there is a dump station for those that do not.

They have it all!

This is a great, quiet destination near Savannah with a gated entrance. This is a newer camp so the trees do not yet provide much shade. The is the only negative I can write. The camp is quite large with roomy sites, some on the lake and some not. There is a store, fitness center, business center, pool, lazy river, ice machine, laundry, and more. There is also a clubhouse on the lake that provides dining options and some live entertainment when the weather cooperates. I really like staying here.

A very nice camp

The staff is a big help. When I made my reservation, I got a call back to see if I had any questions. The lady at check-in led me to my site and even helped direct me backing in. There is a small camp store with"essentials". We are only a few miles from the beach. The sites have full hook-up, fire pits, and picnic tables. Not a new place so lots of great trees for shade and to block the sea breeze. There are a few full timers. You get a lot for your nightly fee. I recommend this place for short stays and vacations. Check the web site or call for specific questions. They are eager to assist.

Cute place right in town

This is a nice, clean park contently located on Highway 25 near downtown Statesboro, GA. They have full hook-up and level sites, most of which are pull-through. The wifi is strong. The grass is cut. The hosts are helpful and friendly. Parkwood is not a getaway, it's more of a stopover. We stayed here for a few nights while visiting family. There is an RV parts store nearby and all that Statesboro has to offer is within a short drive.

Beautiful, well-kept, campground.

Good location and quiet even though it sits right near Hwy 17 in a busy section of the city. Huge catch-and-release lake for fishing. The staff goes out of their way to accommodate your needs. Weak WiFi signal, but they will loan you a modem at no extra charge to connect to the Ethernet at the power post which is connected to a site-wide fiber optic network. It sits on a historic plantation that is only accessible by KOA guests with hay rides Monday through Thursday. Full hook-up with propane refill and dump station. Very near Wal-mart and Lowe's for shopping, among other stores. I recommend this KOA.

A good stop-over or to visit Savannah

The staff are nice, but mostly ignore you as they ride around the grounds. The campground is nice and clean and right on a lake with a multitude of waterfowl including a large number of swans. We love staying here when we visit family in the area. It's good for long-term or for short stays; and the prices are very reasonable. We have camped here a number of times in all seasons. I recommend this KOA.

Steps from the ocean

This place has everything! Literally. A market, arcade, snake bar, equipment rental, water park, mini golf, and on and on… I have stayed in Surfside Beach hotels before and love falling to sleep listening to the waves crashing on shore. I never thought I could do the same and bring my own bathroom! And if you like to walk, the quaint and beautiful town of Surfside Beach is only 1.5 miles down the beach. We saw pelicans, gulls and dolphins. The sites are quite close together, but all are full hook-up. Highly recommend Ocean Lakes.

Beautiful lakeside hideaway

Beautiful little campground where nearly every site has a view of the largeish fishing lake. All sites are natural with no pad, but full hook up. The wifi is good and the staff are cordial. There is a clubhouse for hanging out with TV, computers, and games right on the lake. The grounds are close to I-95 for a quick overnight but far enough from the highway to keep the noise level tolerable. We will be back.

Beautiful lakeside camping.

This is a picturesque campground just across Lake Marion from Santee SC with water views and beautiful sunsets. The staff is friendly, the wifi adequate, and 24 channels of OTH HD TV for those times when the weather does not cooperate. There is a pizza oven on site and you can get it delivered by golf cart to your camp. This KOA not only has a pool, but a lakeside beach as well. This is a nice family destination.

Best Military Campground

What a great campground! The lake is beautiful. The laundry free. And close to St. Marys. There is fishing, hiking and riding trails. We saw lightening bugs, armadillos, and many different waterfowl. All the sites are paved with full hook-up. Love it here.

Nice quiet stopover

From the welcoming hosts to the well groomed sites, this KOA is a perfect way-stop no matter where your winds blow. The salt-water pool was a pleasant surprise and the discreetly placed gnomes and fairy gardens along the way make this place just right. Topping the evening off was a chorus of song birds providing background music for a ballet of fireflies. All together make our return trip a certainty. Highly recommended.
