Very well kept , long , level sites , full hookups , WiFi and cable 35$ A bit to locate entrance , may be hot in summer, but covered parking available at an additional charge
Small older park but full hookups were available in January. Staff personable service, laundry facilities adequate . Antenna Tv good , TMobile service good
Campground is tucked away but has nice large sites, large lake , pool. Friendly staff
This KOA is located 30-45 minutes from the city, if you have to be closer to the north area for family or just cause Charleston has limited availability for RV’s , this is the place. We were purchasing a home and stayed here 5 weeks Overall every other campers was considerate and quiet. We had no issues with anyone running a business or being rude. The staff is not overly friendly but not unpleasant . The amenities are limited, not a KOA for kids. The pool looks nice but was closed for the season. The playground area is very small with one gym set. A horseshoe pit looked overrun with weeds as was the basketball area. The roads are very tight for larger RV’s and trailers. The wooded sites are close to the interstate and you can here traffic constantly also the wooded area is a little marshy which doesn’t help with the mosquito control. the traffic to turn left out of the -ark can be a nightmare during rush area , I recommend right turns only . The biggest con for me was the laundry , it is open air and surrounded by trees and foliage which blows into this area. The tile is ripped and a hazard , no trash cans and no place to sit. Also it is shared with the trailer park adjacent to the KOA ( same owner) A note is posted that weekends are for KOA tenants only but many workers use the facilities. We have a dog that we kept on leash and never had an issue with management telling us he couldn’t be .
Would be great but as stated you must qualify to stay
I don’t have a lot to add to the other reviews, yes, it’s very close to a roadway and train tracks, but it’s free!
We were very confused by this campground, no one answered the phone so we drove by. Check in is at the RV repair shop which was closed, a sign indicated to check in at a tan shack and fill out the forms and pay. After driving the entire park we never saw this shack. We did ask another camper who stated they checked in on line, so we tried that . Seeing only 7-10 RVs in the park the reservation system indicated no sites were available 🤷♀️. This looks to be a parking lot for a fairground, or event area. No trees or shade .
This KOA is much smaller than most and has fewer amenities, although the prices are comparable. Surprisingly this area is very high with camping charges, especially off season. That being said, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the 1:00 check out is nice. We didn’t use any of bathrooms or laundry so I can’t comment on that. Overall it was a good stop for an overnight stay
Huge campground, we stopped for one night a week prior to their closing for the season. Our site was the farthest loop on the back row . Not too sure with all the empty spots why ,but …. very wooded , the unit beside us obviously was a seasonal and had placed their unit horizontally in the space which made sitting outside awkward . Internet is through a paid campground service and was $5/day but was actually very good. Not too sure how service would be during peak season. Sites deep not very wide. Good for a quick stop. No amenities were available
We were here off season , daily rate was $40 . There is a lot to do in this park , zip line , pool , walking trail, lake. Golf cart rentals . Lots of kid activities, in fact there was a Halloween party as we pulled in . Gated to pull back to sites, our first site was pretty unlevel but we were able to move without issue, Good T-Mobile and antenna TV Not sure where the picture on the site was taken but does not seem to be from this CG There seems to be 2 listing for this resort .
As it was cold and windy , we didn’t have any noise from the hospital or smells from the waste treatment plant ! Park is good for a quick overnight but the rates were still $30 E/W $32 full hookups off season. Nice view of lake , grassy sites somewhat unlevel but blocks worked
Enjoyed our night , not crowded but it was close to the end of the season. Site 16 somewhat unlevel but blocks worked . Nice wooded area . Reservations online due to COVID Be sure to visit the Museum of Ojibwa Culture.
We were in site 13 which backed up to the nature trail . Large sites, trash cans at site which was a treat ! Great antenna coverage and T Mobile signal PA cost $13.50 $27 otherwise
Really enjoyed our stay, sites are large and staggered so you aren’t staring at your neighbors and can enjoy the views. The road leading in was very rutted so take it slow , also due to COVID reservations are required , you can drive up but a sign asks you to make one online or call . Cell service was poor for T Mobile and the wait time for a call was 45 min, we tracked down a camp host who was able to get us registered and was very friendly. As stated water is shared by 4 sites and was 30 ft away . $10 with senior pass otherwise $20 Train only went by once!
Time and the city of Warsaw have forgotten this park. Lots of trash overflowing the cans and on the ground. A dyke is being built across the roadway which obscures the river view . This maybe ok if nothing else is available but we opted to move on. No TMobile service or antenna TV service
This is a large parking lot beside the Southside Boat Club Grill/bar which was quite popular. Hookups are located down the center aisle , there is 30 and 50 service also water at some sites. The other areas of the lot do not have hookups. The lot is bordered on the east by the River and west by a train depot. Hoping for the best tonight , $14.00 / night for seniors , $16 otherwise. Coupon for a free beer with paid fee 😂
We looked at all 3 city parks in this area, we found the grassy area where this is marked but no campsites or hookups
This is a non hookup spot that is under a bridge and beside the train tracks
This is a paved lot past the ballfields. Pull in at the sign and follow the road. The lot is beside private property so I called the police to verify parking is still allowed and they said no problem. No tent camping allowed Quiet night , great stop
There is no signage for this location , the only slight indication is a boat ramp sign that leads to a area by the river , there is a pavilion and it appears you can fish , but no camping location anywhere
