Heading north-south on I-95 in this area either to or away from Philadelphia when you come across this particular Home Depot, there might just be a flat piece of pavement beckoning you. Upon arrival, you’ll notice that this retail outpost sits apart from a raft of other drive-by strip mall-like retail accommodations comprised of mostly fast food joints and other major brand retailers– in all, nothing too exciting– but as this orange retailer is part of a much bigger shopping complex, you’ll appreciate that this will offer you up some easily accessible convenience, albeit with a price tag. This Home Depot sits far away from the other mayhem and creates what seems like its very own carved out space as far east away from all of the other retail turbulence, although you will discover that the parking lot itself is fairly jam-packed.
While you’ll find yourself here just outside the Philly city center, where you would be hard-pressed to differentiate one block from the next in this sprawling urban jungle, you will want to take note that despite the non-stop retail strip malls lining every which way you go throughout the maze-like urban environ, you’ll find that the traffic in and out of this Home Depot isn’t as bad as some of the other nearby retail outlets like Lowes and Walmart. As this retail location is also part of a bigger shopping complex, you’ll also appreciate that there’s some light security here with not-so-good nighttime lighting, which while increasing the safety and security score, you will still want to be EXTRA careful if you decide to stay in this area, which I would certainly describe as shady and heavily-trafficked. And because this Home Depot sits back a bit from the rest of the retail jungle that you are surrounded by, there can be a decent measure of peace and quiet here(again, as compared to anything else that you’ll likely find around here).
This Home Depot itself has definitely seen better days and is in dire need of a renovation of itself(which seems kind of ironic, given what this home fixer upper should be all about, right?!). While you’ll come across some very flat pavement for the night– although that’s not too terribly difficult to do here in the Philly area– that’s about the only high mark this place gets. Add to this the fact that you will have no shortage of amenities and retail shopping completely surrounding you, but make no mistake about it, you will feel as though you are the 3rd act in an otherwise non-stop retail circus. And if you were to choose to stay here, I would highly recommend the least busy area of this retailer’s lot, which is the northern edge, away from the main entrance of the store as well as the small sideroad that you likely came in on.
