The Home Depot — Bensalem

Located just a smidge north of the highly trafficked I95 corridor due NE of the City of Brotherly Love, one just needs exit off Woodhaven Road / Route 63 and head due north, where this particular orange home-fixer-upper is located less than 2 minutes from exiting this major thoroughfare. You’ll want to take note though before you decide to come to this particular location, there’s not only major traffic, but a very crowded retail environment, where this Home Depot shares space with AMC movie theaters, Crunch Fitness, T.J. Maxx, Pets Plus and a number of other smaller retailers. But hey, maybe you’re looking for a place with a ton of surrounding amenities and don’t mind the traffic, so then this place might be just perfect for you.

While a fairly standard-issued Home Depot is what you will find here, the roadways and areas to park have been blessed with recently poured asphalt that is fairly level, so you won’t need to worry about having to augment your RV or camper with bricks or eaves to create a level landing point for the night. The entire periphery is pretty log-jammed though with semi-permanent sheds for purchase, along with bags of salt, grass fertilizer and rentable machinery to contend with. You’ll also discover that there’s some pretty great lighting here and the otherwise blank stare of a flat parking lot is punctuated with adolescent-planted trees offering a bit of a feeling like nature isn’t entirely lost on this place.

We found the staff here to be very friendly and inviting, while the bathrooms inside were just slightly north of passable. The huge upside to being here is obviously the very convenient and quick access you’ll have from I95, where surprisingly, you won’t feel like you are entirely next to a major highway. Plus, there’s a lot of amenities around this place, so in case you need to stock up on anything, grab a bite to eat, load up on supplies or even find a diversion (movie theaters), then all in all, this isn’t a bad place to layover.
