Family Campground

Nice family campground that offers alot. Its very big, only 1 central bathhouse for very large area. Female restrooms has 6 toilets and 6 showers (push button, luke warm water). COME PREPARED WITH LEVELING BLOCKS!!!! Our site was very slanting!!

Great

I bought my camper and immediately took it here for the weekend. 10/10 stars. The staff was extremely nice. Was easy for me to pull into. I didn’t have any issues. I ended up having a spot basically alone. Which was nice. My only small complaint was there was trash and pieces of glass in the playground. Which really isn’t the campgrounds fault more the people who use it. I don’t live far from the camp ground and I’m very impressed with how large it is. I can only imagine how packed it’ll be this summer.

Awesome place

Did an extended Labor Day weekend. Plenty of activities for the kiddo. Pool is super clean. Campground is large and laid out nice. Staff was friendly. Sites are spacious but some can be a little difficult to get into with a larger trailer, ours is 34'. Very close to Gettysburg and all the attractions but far enough out of town that you feel in your own world. Will definitely visit again

Tight spots

Overall, has potential, but not updated or well maintained. Numerous fallen trees, stumps everywhere (especially on corners of sites) made it very difficult to turn corners and park your rig, even in pull through sites. Showers just have a timed on-off button, water was VERY hot, too hot for my kids and no ability to make it cooler. Plus shower stalls were like saunas and you had to open the door to take a breath. Lots of open space, close playground for kids, but again outdated and needed fixing. Pool was great, also loved the pond. Proximity to Gettysburg sites was very convenient!

Great campground in the Gettysburg area

We really enjoyed this campground and has been our first trip of the year place to go not too far from home. Nice fishing lakes, we enjoy the main camp area.

Great location for kids to have fun

We stayed in the “C” row site. Great shade and access to the playground. You can let the kids play all day while sitting at your campsite cooking and just hanging. It’s only 15 yards for the play set.

A mixed bag

The staff are very polite and helpful. The sites are shaded with mature trees. They have a pool, put put golf, a good general store, and a café/snack shack. The hookups are oddly spaced and you need to ensure you have extentions handy. My electric hookup didn't work on 30A. The bath house needs cleaning more regularly. If they invested a little bit on upkeep this would be an awesome place.

Won’t go again

The site was extremely difficult to get into, as uneven as it gets. Restrooms and laundry were filthy. While I enjoyed Gettysburg, I did not enjoy this campground.

Best Gettysburg Stay

We are local and love going to Granite Hill for our spring and fall trips. They have friendly staff members that help make your stay pleasant. We live the B section, but there are other great spots, too. Hands-down, this is the best campground in Gettysburg.

not the best, but not the worse

we have stayed at this camp ground twice now. the people are polite and they have a lot of activities to keep everyone occupied. But the lots are filled with tree roots that someone was always tripping over, it took 2 hours to get our camper set up because of the very uneven stone lot, thankfully we had enough wood to get the jack up without having to over extend it. Also many of the lots/fields were not mowed. Won’t probably camp here again.

You might want to make this a last resort

We stayed here on an overnight trip up the coast. It looked deserted and creepy. The hookups were terrible. There is a large BlueGrass festival here every year so we thought it was totally legit. Couldn’t tell you a thing about the campsites. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The place itself looks like it used to be great but has just fallen into disrepair.
