This resort is situated off some canals in Hatteras. the view of the water is ok. the campsites are so close together it seems like a large parking lot for RVs and your vehicle is a second thought. The ground is terribly muddy (suck your shoes off muddy). The closeness of the main other lots is really bothersome, the water lots (which look like 30 amp) have much more room. the staff has been very friendly and helpdul. The park is clean, the rules are reasonable, the people staying are friendly, the pool is clean and I’m good condition. There are a few small markets/grocery stores near by (within 10-15mins drive).
This campground is cute, clean, and close to great hiking spots! It’s on a lake. It has good amenities, and is friendly. IF you want to stay in the mountains and can’t always get that reservation in a great wooded private resort KOA can be counted on for a good, clean, spot. Even though it’s a chain, we are comfortable knowing that on last minute trips we can get a nice spot and have great service.
Would return again and again! Best customer service! Best dining options! Great amenities, pools, movies, character interactions, hikes, water sports, proximity to the parks, everything here is amazing! From cabins to campsites you can’t go wrong!
This campground is great if you just want close beach access. The bathrooms are not always working or clean. The cabins are cute. The RV sites do not have hook ups in the right places but they are fixing it. The tent sites are shaded. The entertainment is great but it’s invasive and loud if you don’t want to hear it you have no choice. If yo love live bands it’s a great time! Beautiful area, close to so many local attractions! Just don’t expect too much.
This is an RV community not a campground. It’s very strict (which is totally proper for a community) but we found as “transients” that we were unwelcome. As a community this seems like a legit place to live or have a semi permanent spot. No camping store, no fire rings, no shade, the residents are not kind. The owners are as accommodating as they can be but it’s a 9-5 gig. If you’re looking for a fun beach camping trip this isn’t it.
We had a lovely time at this KOA! Great service, tons of amentities, shaded spots, lots of activities! Conveniently located 10 minutes from Colonial Williamsburg, Outlet shopping, Busch Gardens, Jamestown, and close to Yorktown beaches and sailing. It’s very clean. The only things was a terrible connection but if you don’t reply on WiFi for a good camping trip you’ll be ok. The WiFi was better early morning for anyone needing to check on work stuff. Highly recommend!
The campsites here are lovely but the site is right on the train tracks and the train runs by frequently. The owners are accommodating but only to the extent that they think serves them. If you need something they back away quickly. Beautiful campground if you don’t need anything and if you don’t mind a lot of noise.
We stayed here on an overnight trip up the coast. It looked deserted and creepy. The hookups were terrible. There is a large BlueGrass festival here every year so we thought it was totally legit. Couldn’t tell you a thing about the campsites. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The place itself looks like it used to be great but has just fallen into disrepair.
This campground is a little farther than I think most people would like to be from a the beach, but it’s so professional and friendly! It’s clean, it’s close to downtown Wilmington and there is SO much to do there. There is an RV wash right next door! There are a lot of gray farmer’s stands and fresh seafood stands nearby too! We choose this for reliability and friendliness over the beach campgrounds because the service here is amazing. It’s not the most shaded outdoorsy space, it does have a ton of family activities, but the people are what makes the difference for us here.
Adorable little campground! Close to the tourist spots in Lancaster. Great views. Clean, friendly, and would definetly recommend! Clean bathrooms, laundry facilities, full hook ups for RVs, lovely tent sites, great playground for kids.
Gorgeous grounds! Lake, hiking, canoeing, paddle boarding, bike riding, all of it is right here! Nice, shaded spots with a lovely Mountain View. Great little camp shop, heated pool, laundry, clean bathrooms, and playground. It’s far enough from a few great tourist/ hiking spots that you get a lovey scenic drive in but not far enough that it’s a long ride and you’re too tired to come back. There is a grocery store in town nearby, and a great bakery too! Can’t wait to go back to this gem!
This KOA is very close to all the attractions Myrtle Beach has to offer (parasailing, boating, surfing, the boardwalk, zip line adventures, restaurants, dinner shows, you name it). It’s clean, has lots of activities for kids, great sites for RV’s and tents, tons of amenities, and is really lovely! The lots are well shaded so they are very comfortable in the hot months. Highly recommend!
