A gem!

What a gem of a state park! Stunning sunsets from the beach trails. Paved sites, room for a tent on most in addition to an RV. Showers lock at 8pm, like most OR state parks, but are super clean. Definitely want to snag a site for a trip each year!

Amazing! Will stay again!

Sites are tight, but the pool is fantastic, like resort quality! Tons of lounge chairs, beautiful and sunny. Showers are hot and huge! Campfires allowed in fire rings with duraflame logs which is a bonus for CA.

Quick tip!

The store closes at 5pm for check-ins, buying firewood, getting change for the coin-op showers. Also, hookups are kinda shared between RV sites, so make sure you have your converter plug for 30/50 amp.

Peaceful

About 6 miles on a washboard gravel road up to 6,000’ elevation. Primitive sites, but mostly level. Vault toilet, no water. U of O’s Pine Mountain Observatory is at the same site, currently closed for Covid. Cows will visit occasionally, but overall very relaxing. Excellent star views from your hammock or up on top of the mountain next to the radio towers lol.

Near the dunes, foresty

Easy check in. Kinda confusing map/layout, but we were able to find a spot easily. Decent privacy for smaller RVs and tents, might struggle with larger rigs. Looks like fun amenities if it wasn’t COVID-19 time 🙁. Definitely a drive to the dunes or the beach, not really very walkable.

Nice and easy

Basic county camp ground with paved sites, 20/30/50 amp and water. Great access to Fern Ridge Reservoir. Very friendly hosts, easy after hours check in. Will stay again!
