This small Forest Service campground provides seven sites arranged in a lollipop loop between Highway 138 and the North Umpqua River. The layout restricts access for RVs over 22 feet due to the tight turning radius. Each site includes a fire ring and picnic table, with direct river access from all camping spots.
Sites vary in levelness, with spots 2 and 6 noted for their size and easier water access. Large trees provide shade throughout the campground, though poison oak grows along some paths to the water. The river's sound masks most highway noise from above. Two vault toilets serve the campground, and trash service is provided. At $10 per night, this makes a suitable base for river activities or a stop for campers exploring dog-friendly camping near Umpqua National Forest.
