Accessible via forest roads, Apple Creek Campground provides 16 sites within the Umpqua National Forest near Idleyld Park. The US Forest Service operates this seasonal campground from May through September, accommodating RVs up to 22 feet in length. Sites are positioned near Apple Creek, giving campers direct access to water features.
The campground serves as a base for exploring the broader forest system, with several nearby options including Horseshoe Bend Campground located 2.7 miles southeast. Forest Service management means basic amenities and rustic conditions. The seasonal closure during winter months reflects typical high-elevation access limitations in this region of Oregon's Cascade foothills.
