Good location

Good location above the rogue river. Good views. Has alot of full and electrical hookups. However pretty busy road very close and has alot of vehicle noise.

Beautifully seated on the North Umpqua River but has highway noise

There are several campgrounds in the North Umpqua area that make excellent base camps from which to explore. Island campground is centrally located smack in the middle of Highway 138 which hosts a plethora of uproarious waterfalls. The campground is directly on the North Umpqua River and has pit toilets serviced year round. There is a $10 fee per night and bringing backup toilet paper of your own is highly recommended in the off season. Highway noise can be heard from the campground but the close proximity makes it easy to drive off and explore the area.

Winchester Bay

Nice clean beautiful setting

Know where you are camping!

Great place but the $10 is SAND Camping in the dunes. The actual campground is $25 a night.

Exceptional service! Sparkling Clean!

We loved the Glamping tents, new and beautifully appointed, the facilities were well kept and sparkling clean. The bathrooms were clean and newly updated. We will be back.

Awesome little site.

This is a great little campground. A bit of a drive to the falls but that's okay.

Great Place

A great place, very close to the ocean and very beautiful. Tent sites are $19 and pretty close together and small. We only stayed for one night and we got there when it was dark. Very busy for the end of November. Super rainy but that’s not the camps fault. Showers were hot and the bathrooms were nicely kept 😎

Awesome showers!

Great campground with really nice showers and a sink to wash dishes.

Wonderful place to stay

Large well kept and maintained park. Convenient to restaurants , shops and markets in and near harbor. All within walking distance. Dune attractions and dune vehicle rentals nearby. Best place to stay in that area.

Small sites with plant buffers

We decided to stay here because you can hike from the campground through the dunes and to the beach. It was a beautiful .75 mile hike to a gorgeous beach. The campground itself was quiet and populated with wild turkeys. We were there off season, so we had no problem finding a site day of. The grounds themselves were clean, but the bathrooms weren’t.
