Steep basalt ridges and cliffs frame the landscape at Copper Creek Campsite. Cradled in a canyon created by the Snake River, the campsite provides visitors a quiet and peaceful setting for outdoor activities. Camp next to Hells Canyon Reservoir and enjoy the thrill of landing small mouth bass, or simply cool your heels in its warm waters. Relax and watch mule deer wander through camp. While staying at the campsite, explore nearby attractions such as Hells Canyon Dam and the Wild and Scenic Snake River. Drive to the National Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Center near Baker City. Take a hike. From Copper Creek, trail 1890 goes into Hells Canyon National Recreation Area and Wilderness. Many trails lead off trail 1890 traveling up drainages to mid-slope benches with amazing views.

Incredible views and unbeatable water access
Found this campsite on a lark while exploring the Hells Canyon area for a place to stay for a few days. There are a few dedicated sites that appear to be tent-only, as well as some areas for dispersed camping. Great views down the Snake River and of the canyon walls, two vault toilets, and a nice breeze made this an excellent two-day stay!
