Great beach access, but prepare yourself for steep dunes - clean campground

I thought this was a great campground especially for families. There was some noise into the night, to be expected for a campground with so many amenities for kids to enjoy. But I would return because it was so clean and the beach is gorgeous. I wish it was a little more wooded/shrubby between camps, but I didn't feel like I was breathing my neighbor's exhale so that's fine. I saw reviews about the dunes being pretty big to get to the beach and I didn't really believe them until I was heading back into camp at night, yeah that hill is a lot coming back up so beware. I would avoid bringing my grandpa here.

Great little campground right next to great little airport!

Boy Howdy!

What a treat!  This is a great campground for young kids.  Lots of trees to tie up a hammock and a great shallow river for wading and playing.  Additionally, the airport next store is a lovely field for frisbee or soccer.  Watch out for the planes!  There were plenty of sites on a busy holiday weekend when there was nothing else available.  Proximity to Vernonia was great as the town is lovely.  There are good parks, a swimming hole and a rails to trails trail.

Secluded and a number of spots

Tucked away with very little traffic on a May Friday night. Lots of barking dogs in proximity to the sites which can be heard all night

Great little camp ground.

It's quiet in the fall months. Camp hosts are awesome people. Busy in summer. Has a water hand pump. Restrooms are vault style.
