Camping by the lake

Great level concrete slabs to park on. Each site has

  • water
  • fire pit
  • picnic table and -power .

A separate dump site as you leave.

There us a basic toilet block about 400m from the RV sites. 1 hand basin and 2 cubicles.

Separate showers that are very basic and you need to pay for.

Lots of space outside of the R V camp area where tents go.

A nice spot that is cheap and idelaic for an over nighter for us.

Foss State Park

Nice, clean state park with a handful of level, paved sites overlooking the lake. Probably better suited for RVs than our truck top tent. No trees or shrubs between sites so your neighbors can see everything. There is a road on the other side of the lake so you will see cars all night but it’s not obtrusive. Bathhouse is a good distance from the campsites so another reason it’s probably best for RVs. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Not a destination but a nice stopover on a cross country trip.

Foss Lake Cedar point nice!

Nice with many pull thru level sites. A few back ins. Wonder Lake view. Full hook ups. Shower house was a pay shower. Concrete patio areas with newer picnic tables and nice fire pits. Has a marina open seasonally. The soil is a red clayish dirt but the lake was clear. Has Frisbee Golf and a play ground. The play ground needs a bit of TLC. We are here in Sept and only two other campers here.

I stayed here two years ago

And was the only person in the park that evening. Just a stop on a trip. Really nice campground with extensive trail system. You can hear lots of owls and coyotes at night. Not much to stop the wind but I'm not sure it gets very cold here either.

Very nice sites next to lake

We stayed in site 11 in the Cedar Point RV loop. Lovely site overlooking Foss Lake. Very quiet area. Lots of lawn area and we loved having a pull-through site . People out early fishing on the lake. Lots of nice picnic areas and a frisbee golf course. Nice shade trees. We saw a flock of Snow Geese fly over last evening and could hear coyotes yipping in the distance. Some sites here are pull-through and some are back-in. We highly recommend.

Beautiful views!

Our first experience with our motorhome in an RV park! This place is beautiful. The water views, sunset, and really not many people by us. $32/night with electricity and water.

As newbies to this, the only issue is finding the bathrooms/showers. The map online isn’t very detailed, but went walking and found the central building with washrooms and showers. Very clean!

Walk over to the marina and along the beach to see the red rocks.

We would definitely come back here again!
