We were just passing through for one night and we’d been there before but this is a new site to us. It had a decent level pad and plenty deep enough for our camper and tow vehicle. The site has a large side and backyard with a great view of the lake. The shower house was just a short walk. Check in was easy and so was finding our site.

First, the lake here is beautiful. It has many islands, coves and inlets and is perfect for a couple of days of paddling or fishing. That's where the two stars come in.
BUT. There are many buts. The campground is like a giant RV lot. The sites are tiny. We were in a tent-only site and we had two families right on top of us on either side. We could hear the entire conversations of one family, plus there were 11 people there, three cars, and they were partying the first night and extremely noisy.
The reservation map is incorrect. When I reserved, it showed #13 as being on the end of the tent only area. When we arrived, I found out there was a site #14 that wasn't even pictured on the reservation map, and this is where the giant screaming family was parked! I thought I was going to be on the end- it is not very accommodating for a variety of reasons for a reservation map to be so incorrect.
The air everywhere reeks of sewage, ranging from what you smell outside a giant pig farm, to what you smell outside of a porta potty, to rotten egg smell. I don't know where these smells were coming from but it was nonstop.
The bathrooms were extremely dirty. It looks like they haven't been renovated since the 80s.
The employees in the office never seemed to be able to tell us what we needed to know. We asked on Friday evening where the Saturday morning naturalist paddle would be, and we were told to come back Saturday morning and ask someone else. On Saturday, the person in the office told us to go to a location that was miles away- we spent 40 minutes in the car driving around, trying to find where this activity was, only to give up and find out it was actually adjacent to the campground, not down the road in a different part of the park.
Last, the lake is in the middle of a residential neighborhood. You can see houses around the edge of the park while you are sitting in your campsite. It is not remote, and there is a noisy, busy highway running along the side of the campground.
I enjoyed the lake but I will not camp here again.

Place is a joke, ran by two little piece of shit trolls with a god complex to over come the lack of achievement in there lives. They have zero management skills and even less people skills. Must be overcompensating for something.

There is a Waterpark, pool, and hot tub at this campground you can access for an additional price. I camped in a tent next to the cabin that my sister rented so I'm not sure about the tent sites that are available. There are ALOT of full time campers here so I was under the impression that a good site will be hard to find here, but the bathrooms were good and there were things to do so I will try this place out again.

Many of the amenities were damaged by a tornado. Therefore no pool or other water amenities except for the lakes. It seems that the 50 amp sights are very spread out and randomly located.

ScoutThis is a timeshare campground. We agreed to come, so we could get full hookups. We weren’t able to get them anywhere else. So this place called and we agreed to come. So far the staff has been fabulous and very accommodating. We haven’t attended “the meeting “ yet. That’s not until tomorrow. The people who called us promised us several things, we got here and they weren’t available. We had to change sites 3 times. 1 time after we had everything unhooked, and set up. We have been here 2 days and this is the first time we could have a night time camp fire. The wind has been so bad. We did get a list today, of the activities for tomorrow. Some look pretty interesting. It seems like there is something for everyone.
ScoutI gave a one start only because I had too the place is horrible kept the spot we reserved from the map was not saved we got there it had a camper in it we had to take a spot down a steep hill no activities the facilities was dirty dumpster over flowing washing machines broke bathrooms dirty water had a bad smell and particles in it would advice not to drink the water ! Wendy the owner or owner want to be was extremely rude suppose be smoke free she was smoking blew right into out motor home causing us a trip to the er my daughter went into a asthma attack no activites for anyone no pool but a nasty green beach I would not even let my lab swim in when we ask for part of our money back and not stay the whole week the person in the office Wendy said she would we went to the office when leaving she denied saying she would give any type refund lied to us I would advise another campground tbjs is poorly ran and way too much money and a dump who knows what's up with the water place needs condemned and start over with better management and someone with social skills I will not be back and I will not recommend to anyone else and we travel a great deal and know.many who does also wish I had take. Time to look at and read reviews I have learned a valuable lesson here .
TravelerWe had a great weekend of camping! The weather was perfect, the kids loved the playground and had fun at the Fun Field Day activities! Plenty of fishing and relaxing! We love the little ice cream shop/bait shop across the street.

Difficult to get potable water. Only electric on the sites. Some sites don't have electric hookup. Dump station is in a completely different section of the state park. We arrived around 8 pm and check-in station was already closed. Luckily they have a sign with name and site number. Not much to do other than trails.

GuideWe had an excellent time with our camping trip at Kiser Lake. We were incredibly impressed with the kind staff. We had purchased 8 bundles of wood ($5/bundle) and it was all wet and not usable. The staff worked hard to find us replacements that may have come from a different shipment. We were able to use that to get going and dry out the wet bundles.
We booked a group site which was perfect for us with our dog and our group. It seemed like the regular campsite seemed too crowded for our taste.

Campground was really nice. Small and quiet but fun! Staff and seasonal campers were super friendly and helpful! Playground is great, lots to do, and the fishing and swimming lakes are nice. Caught some decent bass and kids enjoyed all the bluegill fishing. Bath house was very clean. We had site 65, right across from the bath house. Nice site, easy to access, and still very quiet despite being near busy areas. We enjoyed our stay and will be back!
LegendSpent 3 nights in the wide open A Loop. Checked in on a Sunday and left on Wednesday. Pretty much had the loop to ourselves. Didn’t bother to hookup the electric because the solar was keeping up with our needs. Ran to Jackson Center to checkout the Airstream Factory. Great Verizon signal allowed us to stream.
GuideMy wife and I spent Mother’s Day weekend at this campground. With heavy rain on Friday, the campground and flowing river through the campground. For the rest of the weekend our campsite had standing water around the fire pit and was similar to other site around the campground.
