Lake Myers and the adjacent RV resort are perfect for overnight or extended-stay camping on a seasonal basis; we have sites that include 30 amp full hook-ups. Lake Norman State Park, on the largest manmade lake in North Carolina, boasts one of the region’s more popular mountain biking network, offering 30.5 miles of single-track trail. Nearby are a 125-yard-long swim beach and bathhouse complex as well as a boat ramp and opportunities for fishing from spots along park trails. Lake Norman campground with 32-sites and a group campground are available during warm-weather months, and a community building with kitchen facilities, restrooms and fireplace can be rented for family and group events year round. Free interpretive programs are complemented by educational exhibits throughout the visitor center and along the child-friendly Dragonfly Trail.

Eden Oaks Vineyard and Campground is a working vineyard located in the heart of the Swan Creek AVA (American Viticultural Area). We grow a variety of grapes--riesling, muscadine, concord, catawba, niagara, scuppernong, and others.  Also, we have elderberries (Sambucus).  An assortment of vineyards and wineries are located within a few miles.  US Hwy 421 is two miles away and Interstate Hwy 77 is nine miles away.  Eden Oaks is very convenient, easily accessible, and rural.  But, there are many points of interest within a few minutes--Stone Mountain State Park, Pilot Mountain, W. Kerr Scott Dam, Yadkin River and Carter Falls.  We're close to  the towns of Elkin, Wilkesboro, and North Wilkesboro.  

Each of our campsites have picnic tables, garbage containers and firepits plus a free bundle of firewood.  Our individual sites accommodate  up to 4 people and the group sites up to 12 people.  There are two RV sites with 50 amp electrical and water hookups.  And, we have 4 tent sites.  A Port-A-John and water are available.  Our free WIFI is accessible on the patio and at the group firepit.  

Our son Todd and his fiancee April have Fireside Espresso and offer delicious coffee creations such as espresso, cappuccinco, lattes, and other wonderful drinks.

We also breed and raise Jack A Bee (Beagle and Jack Russell)  puppies.

The Eden Oaks property was a tobacco farm several decades ago.  It's steeped in history.  The tobacco barn, corn crib, smokehouse and stable barns were built in the early 1900's.  The house was built in 1910 and remodeled in 1995.  The springhouse is located on the small spring where past occupants got their drinking water.  Also, another creek runs through the property.    

We are a "work in progress."  Our future plans include additional campsites and a dump station for our campers.  Also, we're working on a wine and antique store.

Eden Oaks Vineyard and Campground

Bandits Roost Campground is located on the south side of W. Kerr Scott Reservoir in western North Carolina. Constructed in the beautiful Yadkin River Valley, the lake offers extensive opportunities for outdoor recreational activities. Recreation The 1,475-acre reservoir offers excellent boating, canoeing, kayaking and swimming opportunities. Anglers will find channel catfish, large and smallmouth bass, bluegill, threadfin shad, spotted bass, striped bass, and hybrid striped bass. Miles of multi-use trails, that allow hiking and mountain biking, surround the lake, including the Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail, which has a trailhead at the campground. An additional 25 miles of trails can be found at the Warrior Creek and Dark Mountain areas. Facilities The campground offers 102 campsites, including 17 tents sites and 85 standard sites with water and electric hookups. The popular group tent area offers a covered shelter with water and electricity, a grill, six tables and seven tent pads. Amenities include flush and pit toilets, showers, drinking water and a dump station. A boat ramp, swim beach, playground, basketball court and amphitheater offer additional recreation opportunities. The campground offers a thick canopy of forest on one side and the scenic lake shore on the other. There are 32 campsites available, all with electric hookups, and one large group site that can accommodate up to 100 guests. Modern amenities like flush toilets, drinking water and showers create a comfortable camping experience, while a playground, sandy beach, basketball court and horseshoe pit provide additional recreation opportunities.
