It’s a party camp ground

Do you enjoy staying up until sunrise, underage drinking, staff that don’t give AF, and rules that don’t matter? Then this is the state park for you! I wanted to give the park a try even with all the bad reviews, because the location is awesome. Now I realize the views are not worth it if you’re sleep deprived. I thought since it was a not a holiday weekend it wouldn’t be that bad, I was wrong. If you still plan on coming, I’d avoid the first week in August. Some garbage family from New Jersey rents out a bunch of sites and gives their teenagers their own site, because they hate them too. All in all, it was not a good time. There are plenty of other parks around if you want to actually enjoy camping. This one isn’t it. 10/10 would not recommend 👎

large campground on a beautiful lake

Located at the northern end of Lake George and about 7 miles south of Ticonderoga, Rogers Rock is a boater’s paradise. I was here midweek, so it wasn't packed, but I image when it's full that it may be noisy - and not just from the people. Look carefully at the map when choosing your site. Many of them are near the main road. Sites aren't particularly level or large. Cell phone coverage is spotty, I was getting 1-2 bars with Verizon.

There's a boat inspection station, boat ramp, and mooring as well as a beach. Ticonderoga offers some history and is worth a half-day visit. Lake Champlain isn't far away, either.

Good. Questionable clientele

Beautiful lake, good sized and well kept campgrounds. We went over memorial day, and the campers were extremely noisy until the early hours drinking. Not sure if representative of the experience, or just the weekend we were here, but would think twice.

Lake George Gem

Great place right near Lake George, be aware that is can get super busy in the summer, specially on the weekends! Very pretty and great for a short or longer trip.

Go on a weekday

This place is packed on the weekends. If you want to avoid the rush of campers, definitely try to make the trip on a weekday. Sitting by the lake is really relaxing when you're all alone!

Peaceful side of Lake George

Nice place to stay and launch a kayak or boat. Small park is pretty much just camping. Some sites get muddy, some are more private, choose carefully. Facilities all simple and clean, as expected. Short drive to a few little towns with charm and/or Walmarts. Make reservations for summer weekends. Wake up for the sunrise!!

Annual Trip

This is a great park, on a week day. The spots are much quieter, and the less people at that beautiful beach the better!!!

Great Spot

We went on Memorial Day weekend. Had a great time with so much to do.....the kids really loved it....even when the weather turned sour. Definitely recommend this place and we'll be sure to return.

So much to do!

Rogers Rock is a great campground with many things to do like hiking, kayaking, swimming, biking and playing on a playground. When we went some fellow campers were very loud but everything Else I would recommend it to young or old people.

Crowded

It was a nice place until the boaters came through. Also there was a dog in the site next to us that continually jumped at us while growling. Otherwise it was fine.
