Truly the Queen of the American lakes. Crystal clear you can see the bottom even in deep water. Campground is huge but well kept and quiet considering the amount of sites Sites near Rt 9 can hear road noise They offer moorings for watercraft Fireplace was in bad repair Many bathrooms and several shower houses that are in good repair Site 132. not on water Water pic from day use area Cell service on north end of campground but spotty
Beautiful lake, good sized and well kept campgrounds. We went over memorial day, and the campers were extremely noisy until the early hours drinking. Not sure if representative of the experience, or just the weekend we were here, but would think twice.
Great place right near Lake George, be aware that is can get super busy in the summer, specially on the weekends! Very pretty and great for a short or longer trip.
This place is packed on the weekends. If you want to avoid the rush of campers, definitely try to make the trip on a weekday. Sitting by the lake is really relaxing when you're all alone!
Gorgeous lake views. Watched the sunrise over the water. Nothing quite like it. Truly blissful.
great campground, perfect location to also drive up to the high peaks
Bring or rent a kayak or canoe.
Nice place to stay and launch a kayak or boat. Small park is pretty much just camping. Some sites get muddy, some are more private, choose carefully. Facilities all simple and clean, as expected. Short drive to a few little towns with charm and/or Walmarts. Make reservations for summer weekends. Wake up for the sunrise!!
This is a great park, on a week day. The spots are much quieter, and the less people at that beautiful beach the better!!!
We went on Memorial Day weekend. Had a great time with so much to do…..the kids really loved it….even when the weather turned sour. Definitely recommend this place and we'll be sure to return.
