Close to home Campground

The campground is very close to home, and a lot of people around our area (central jersey) go there yearly or have seasonal sites there, but for us, it was our first time at the campground. The campground was full of plenty of amenities like basketball, volleyball, cornhole, playground, pool, crafts, bands, a lake, and fishing. The place was clean, and there was no garbage around.

The positives were there were plenty of things to do and they also have this great river that goes through the place so you can walk and throw your tube in and float to the other side of the park 30 mins later get out and do it again. They campground will also bring you up the river further and drop you off on a canoe trip. There is an added cost for rental. I like that they allow you to bring your own golf cart and/ or electric scooters or bikes. They had an old school playground which was better then any new one out there. The store was fully stocked with anything you could possibly want or need. They had a band which played Saturday night and people lined up golfcarts from all over and just lived for this concert.

The negatives are for me campgrounds spots were right on top of one another but they were big spots they dont have tons of trees or shade which. They did have many seasonal sites, which sometimes turns me off and can make the place look a little trashy. The other negative was that the pool was freezing because they would pump water out every night. Someone told us there was an issue with the chemicals, and the pool looked greener every day. The bathrooms by the pool were older and always dirty.

Yogi Bear for the win!!!

I have to say this campground had plenty of staff working, the grounds were kept clean and maintained. They have 3 pools, watersides, and a splash pad, which were very busy but kept clean. They offer tons of other adventures like laser tag, arcade, mini golf movie theatre, gem mining, playgrounds, jumping pillows, ziplines, and then tons more to do in the craft center. They had plenty of appearances of Yogi or Cindy bear at activities and just driving around the park on a golf cart. The store had everything in it you would need, and the snack bar had so much to offer from wraps to ice cream. I thought the sites were a little close, and some didn't have enough trees for my personal liking, but also, you need to pick your site wisely. I liked that we had a nice concrete pad, which was above the grade in case of some rain it wouldn't flood. They offer golf carts for rental, so you can roam anywhere and have tons of cabin options. The staff were friendly and great and only stepped in when absolutely necessary. They weren't overbearing or annoying and let people have fun. The campground itself was very quiet at night, and of course, the kids lived on the playgrounds after the pool was open, but the noise was not ever excessive but just expected. The bathrooms were clean and all in working order. The app can be accessed, or you can pick up a paper schedule to see all the activities for the day. The cell service and wifi left a lot to be desired, but for me, I like to not be glued to my phone when away, especially camping. The area had fun things to go to explore, like Shenandoah National Park and the Luray Caverans, if you do like to chase some natural beauty.

Beautiful sites of Lake George

This campground is the northwest side of the lake. There are not many amenities or services for the phones but that could be good if you want an off the grid type of camping. We were lucky enough to score a few days in one of the group sites. They had a bathroom with just a potty & sink. At the end of the site, they had water that was able to be used to clean dishes but not consume. The views out the camper were just amazing. The bathroom with the showers by the beaches were gross, and the amount of crap on the ground was super unacceptable, like people haven't cleaned it in weeks. The showers up closer to the sites were very nice and clean. They have a cool beach but make sure to bring water shoes because everything is gravel. I wish they had a playground for kids to play. We brought bikes but it was very hard to ride with the hills and gravel so we didn't use then often. We moored our boat directly out from out site and you could swim out to it. Great lake, super clean, beautiful breeze can't wait to go back.

Awesome waterpark!! Very crowded...

The RV spaces really have no shade or trees, so if you like the sun and to be directly off the beach, this place is for you. They have alot of amenities to offer, including a waterpark with multiple pools, watersides, lazy river, kids' play area, mini golf. They have alot going on here for families. The beach has basketball courts, playgrounds, and you can rent golfcarts. It's a very busy with alot of people driving all around. The beach water was so clean and warm. You can also rent trailers or huge beach houses who share the same pool. The area has so much to do, including pirates adventure, Broadway on the beach, and the hangout with the foam party.

The rules are a little over the top for us, but the place was nice.

I get you need to have rules to keep order, but when I say the people at this campground were a little extra, I mean it. We stayed 2 nights at Land & Shore and the first night was Friday night and all 6 families that are members with our own sites were hanging out around a fire pit and at 1016pm someone security person drove by with one headlight and told us at 11pm we would have to pit our fire out. I think it was a little bit overkill and there was other campers that had a fire going, we were not being loud or anything and when she came by or anything so we didn't understand the urgency of telling us that, plus when did quiet time mean you couldnt sit by the campfire. The next day when I was in the hot tub my daughter walked up to me to ask if I could get her a drink and she was not about to get into the water but the over concerned lifeguard walked up to say … you need to be 18 to be on the hot tub and we all looked at each other that were in, and the old man next to us says well we all are and he said we'll she's not and he replied for me l, that good thing she wasn't in then … let a parent be a if you see someone not obeying the rules, okay, but we were, and we don't need your 2 cents because you're not even 18. I liked the area but wouldn't go back to this same campground, the sites are way too close for me and your practically on top of your neighbors, but we went with family so… the beach is within 10ish minutes and is beautiful but your suppose to have passes, we biked around the area and along the beach it was very nice. I did like the lake and waterpark. However, the water in the waterpark was ice cold.

One of my favorite stays!!!!

When we rolled in, I got the feeling we were going to really like this place. It turns out, I was right!! They have the best staff and they are everywhere, if you need someone they are always around and super friendly also. They have a pond for fishing, basketball, a mini golf course being redone, jumping pillow, 2 pools, arcade and a playground. The sites we stayed in had a lot of trees and not on top of people. You can tell they maintain the campground and do their best to keep everything clean and they do a great job. They had a free pancake breakfast on the weekend days, and a band Saturday night.

Around the area, there is tons to do if you're an outdoors person. They have an awesome path called the rail trail that you can ride your bike or walk down it goes for 22 miles, and you can stop on the way in little towns or for a bite to eat. They have a wonderful state park with a huge waterfall not a bad hike but 20 mins from the car, and a huge lake if your travel up the mountain. The hiking in the area is for all levels and ages. If you like to be outside, you won't be disappointed.

Quiet and Simple in a good way

The campground is very clean, nice spots with gravel and nice views. The store was stocked well with essentials, and the women running the store was very helpful and friendly. The campground is very well lit and can be navigated easily at night. The bathhouse was clean and only 1 bout of cold water why showering but a quick on and off of the water did the trick. The only downfall for us was the limited things to do with a child. They have a swinger but nothing else. It's hard to entertain on rainy days.

Closing out the camping year 2023

Came the weekend before the real Halloween, and the grounds were pretty deserted. We rented a golf cart and did some of the activities like painting and playing bingo. It was a cooler bit. It was still a very nice weekend for october. We enjoyed the grounds they are beautiful with the pools, lake, and ocean. It has a great store with basically everything you could need. The arcade left a lot to be desired and could use some more things. We took a hayride around the park, which was fun. Would Def go back!!

Rainy Rain Rain 🌧

The campground was so huge the grounds were so nice. It had a little arcade, a nice lake, and playground. We like the surrounding area, the mountains and hikes are awesome but we went during October when it was cold and would love to come back when it's warmer so we can actually see what's going on there. People were very nice when we interacted with them.

Mixed Feelings

This was our families first SoLo trip with our camper. It had alot of things to do indoor/ outdoor pool, pirate ship, slide, big pillow, waterside, golf and rock wall. The campground and showers were clean. There were some things that didn't work like the army truck ride, zipline, and playground. The biggest downfall was being near the dump station and something going on with this makeshift site next to us where around our area smelled of sewer fumes all the time we went out for dinner one night because my 3 yr old was gaging. However the area was absolutely gorgeous we hiked so many waterfalls, went and rented a boat for the day to check out the lake, and drive to the next lake to check out the park.

Easter Weekend 1st camping experienxe

Wonderful Campground!! Grounds loomed well maintained, bathrooms were always really clean. Had a little golf course, kayaks, lake, and playground. Everyone we came in contact with was really friendly and nice. They did some activities for Easter. The favorite was the egg hunt.

Best KOA so far

This campground was so well maintained. There was so much to do there a pool, lake, horseshoes, cornhole, playground, big pillow and even more. They offer so many activities during the day and text you so you don't forget. The place is so clean including the bathrooms. Everyone we came in contact with staff wise was so friendly. I would love to come back if I was looking for a place close to home. I loved how they brought you to your site with the golfcart and the guy was so helpful with helping my husband back up (a fight to avoid lol) they also would deliver firewood to your fire ring which was a awesome touch.

Wonderful weekend trip

The campground is in the mountains of PA close enough to the Delaware River that we took a trip down using bucks County river tub company. We didn't have to go tubing because there was so much to do. The pooL and splash pool for toddlers was clean with a lifeguard on duty at all times. The posted pool hours were not as described they don't really tell you but it was open a little later if not the posted hours were like 6pm and it way to early for a hot summer day if you ask me. They had a playground, lake where you could fish, cornhole, and minigolf. They did a few activities the one we did go to was the casino night where they had separate play areas for kids and adults. All the money made is donated to Shriners Children's Hospital which it awesome and the kids loved the candy and little prizes they won. The place was nice, spots were tight with the trees but that's because they preserved them. The bath house with showers was clean and so was the other closer to our site. In the end I would go there again people were nice, store had everything/anything you could possibly need.

1st camping trip of 2023

The campground is maintained and there are activities for the kids always brewing. We stayed fathers day weekend and they had a breakfast, games and crafts geared towards it. The pool and splash park were great but you needed to be at least 42 inches to go on the slide or bounce house. The people there were friendly. I think the lale could use a little cleanup with the amount of bobbers, string and mess left behind by people. There have ao many cabins its crazy and alot of seasonal rentals. Our site was roomy and had gravel however it poured and hailed for 1 hr and it still made a swamp. I would come back again my 3 yr old lobed the playground and pool. The roads are dirt but well maintained.
