Lake George Gem

Great place right near Lake George, be aware that is can get super busy in the summer, specially on the weekends! Very pretty and great for a short or longer trip.

City of Waterfalls!

This place is amazing, it's hiking trails are beautiful with many views of waterfalls. Many different difficulties as well!

Fantastic place for a Pirate!

This is such a great place, with multiple pools, a lazy river, cabins and golf carts to rent, right on the ocean, what more can you ask for? There is an arcade as well as so many activities AND an ice cream shop (this is the first time I had Moose tracks Ice cream). Yum!

White Pines

This Campground is smaller and sees a lot of people. There is a small pool that is very busy, and there is a pond for fishing. Great place for family to get together, we used to have family reunions here.

This Campground has been passed down through the generations

This campground is one that my father camped at with his brothers when they were young. There is a pond, but it is not swimmable due to the snappers, but when you are on the cape, there is always the ocean to find. The snapper pond is great for fishing too. It is a clean campground, with many different playgrounds. There is also a horse farm in the front of the grounds. The bike trails are a short ride away as well.

Biking trails on the Cape

This is a great camp ground, the many bike trails make it easy to adventure without your car, and there is a beach area and bay area not far away. Clean and plentiful there are so many sites but at peak of season it can be difficult to get in.

AMAZING TIMES

If I had to pick one campground that I loved so much for all of our family trips it would be this one. I have wonderful memories of kayaking (their courses are great and included), watching the stars in the field near the BMX bike area, tie dye, campfires, the list just goes on and on. They have volleyball courts as well as a swim area with a dock, that I spent soon much time on.

Point Sebago

This is a great camp ground, I went there when I was younger and it has a week special for family camping. It has many different activities and entertainment, but also boasts child and adult specific activities as well. The lake is beautiful and right in the campground which makes it easy when you do want to hit the beach.

SHADY Oaks

This ground was very quiet. Mostly seasonal sites with only one overnight site that I saw. No tents allowed. There was not many people around, everything looked clean. The families in the seasonal sites were very friendly. There is also a small pool, play ground and a picnic table and hook ups from the sites. Overnight sites are grassy with fire rings.

Ranger Review: Artisan Market Bright Croakies Belt at Monty's Bay Campsites

The Park: So pretty, right across from the lake, this road leading up to it is amazing as well, it is right on the lake side and goes down Lake Champlain. The staff was very nice, and the camp also owns the pier across the street. Mostly seasonal sites.

The Belt: I love the colors of this belt! Croaks has done it again, this belt is the perfect size, has some class, and can be made to fit. There are also a few styles with holes in this same pattern too. Seems like it will be very durable overtime. Similar to another review I did, this one I am wearing up a bit higher, but it is small enough to fit through my belt buckles as well. Well Done Croakies!!!

Bingo and Arts and Crafts are the best on the rainiest of days

When my family went here it poured! And we were thankful that there were so many things to do, painting ceramics, karaoke, an arcade (at the time it had DDR which was all the rage). It is close by to some nice shopping areas as well. Bingo is always a family favorite and they even had that as well!

Great Family Activities and contests

My family used to camp at this ground on an annual basis. There were all kinds of activities (kick-ball, ect) that everyone could participate in, a great play ground, and easy to navigate. One of my favorite memories here is having all of the kids make dinner for the adults, we cooked, cleaned, and had some of us act as wait staff to get orders, the parents didn't complain so much either. I also remember them doing a contest on father's day that I won, for writing up all the reasons why my dad was the best. He won a hat that he still keeps on his dresser.

Great Family Fun

I had a blast here when I was a kid, my family, neighbors and friends would all camp in the open field site and all the kids would get together and adventure the weekend away. From the pool to the creek were we would have mud fights and catch crawfish this place is where so many great memories, year after year are. We rarely left the grounds, everything we needed we brought or went without.

Ranger Review: A2 Shoal Belt at Cumberland Bay State Park

The grounds: This place looks like the place to be, great facilities (with real flush toilets near the beach), and great grassy sites which met of are in the shade! Very close to many different things (Montreal, Burlington, Lake Placid) and the beach is very clean and beautiful. There is a pump station for RVs but a lot of tent camping as well.

The Belt: This belt is great, I love croaky belts in general, they are colorful and very sturdy. The design is great and they keep the pants up or give a splash of color to my outfits (when I wear them a little higher up. The colors are so pretty with the blues and are interesting to look at. Love that there are no holes, so it will not rip overtime. 5 out of 5 for sure!

Many Seasonal Sites

This Park was very nice, it has a real homey feel with mini golf, community hall, and pool. Most of the sites seemed seasonal, I am unsure if there were any overnight sites. Great location right near lake Champlain, and only about a 20 minute drive from Canada. The ferry to Burlington VT is also a very short distance away!

Ranger Review: Croakie XL at Mallets Bay Campground Campground

This is a smaller campground tucked away in the bayside of Colchester. It is adjacent to Bayside park so not only do you get to use the park but also the public park (tennis, picnic tables, and the beach right across the street). The beach is one of my favorite places in Colchester but be careful of zebra muscles, they are all over and can do a number on your feet if you are not careful. The park has great facilities with volleyball nets and a skate park and it is a great area for biking (the causeway is only a stones throw away). I would bring TP to the beach of you do go, many times I have been that has been lacking. The camp ground in general is a great location, close to Burlington and the tourist attractions as well as a drive in theater too. The beach does have sand but there is a nice grassy hill as well.

In addition to the camp ground I have the pleasure of reviewing the XL Croakie and let me say this simple, vibrant (water lilies pattern for those of you who are wondering) is perfect for my summer adventures. It was great on the beach and in the water and retained the glasses beautifully when I was jumping around in the water. I am going to take these on my next paddle trip in hopes that Champlain does not claim another pair of glasses as their own as well! And for those of you who might not like the pattern, check out their website, they have any design you can think of so you can keep your mind on the waves or slopes and less on if you are going to loose your sunnies! (5 stars for sure and the quality is excellent and dries super quickly).

The Cows Mooing on the other side of the lake will wake you in the morn

Great little park. Lots of fishing, swimming, and overall fun. A main road does separate the camp sites from the water so it is important to look after little ones. Great biking in the area as well.

Great Beach

Great Beach, but beware, it can be crowded!!!! So get their early if you do go to the beach. Sites are nice, there is a dumping station and some great sites for group camping. Reasonable rates since it is a State Park!

Lake George escape

So many activities, dance floor and kids meals comes in frisbee plates. You can mine for gold, chill by the pool or even try your shot at archery! Something for everyone here, teen nights, family days and everything in between.

Windy near the beach

Books up quickly, right near the beach. Be sure to check out the ice cream shop and bring your stakes! Good old fashion camping. Fantastic place for Labor Day weekend too!
