      Las Cruces KOA

      Great New Mexico Stop

We stopped on either end of our trip to the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. It was a great midway point from home. We stayed in a patio site. The site was spacious and level. A fire pit with chairs, a propane grill, and table with 4 chairs was provided. The kids enjoyed cornhole, basketball, tetherball, and the playground. The store was well stocked. I only wish more local products were sold. Many of the items that appeared to be made by Native Americans were actually imported from overseas. We also wish the community room had board games or movies to check out. The coffee and pastries was a great touch! We will definitely be back to explore the area more. Employees were friendly and kind. A great place to stay!

      Siesta RV Park

      beautifully maintained

The park itself is beautifully maintained, with lush green spaces and well-manicured sites that offer plenty of room for even the largest RVs. Each site is equipped with full hookups, which made our stay comfortable and convenient. We were particularly impressed with the cleanliness of the facilities, including the restrooms and laundry area, which were always spotless. I also get help from africanmag

      Caballo Lake State Park Campground

      Beautiful place

When I called about availability we were told there were a lot of dry spots available. Works for us! When we got there the person at gate had no idea where the campgrounds were and would not let us check out sites without paying for day use. The campground had water shutoff on Memorial Day weekend. No bathrooms or showers.

Management aside, this place is gorgeous. We dry camped by lake right under mountains. Would not pay for campground with no water but for $10 to dry camp by the water, love it.

Great T-Mobile service. Easy to access.

      Las Cruces KOA

      Top KOA

Absolutely fantastic KOA! Either is brand new or redone/crazily well kept up! Tent spots, covered tent spots, RV spots with 120/30A/50A and water, dump station - shower house has better showers than most hotels, bathrooms are big and clean.

Really nice pool (that closes at 7 😢), basketball court, corn hole, play ground.

Pretty cool view of Las Cruces at night.

      Amazing glamping stay!

Highly recommend this gem. It’s tucked away and such a cozy and slow place to stay. We stayed in a campsite for 5 nights. Highly recommend more than one day so you can enjoy the springs and the town! It has lovely clean hot spring tubs that are open 24/7. It’s an intimate camp so we rarely had to wait for a tub. Also has clean bathrooms and showers and a grill. 2 blocks away from Main Street and 2 blocks from the Rio grande. Great host and great service too.

      Needs a refreshing

This is a small RV park just west of ElPaso. It’s older and could use some maintenance. Sites are level, but very close to. Lots of dust. (This is the desert , so maybe expected) 30/50 amp, water & sewer. Free WiFi and Cable TV No dog park. No pool There is a convenience store and grocery store.

      Las Cruces KOA

Beautiful Mountain Views, Starry Skies - Wish We Could Stay Longer!

We arrived after dark to the Las Cruces KOA.  The park was about 1/2 full and the sites were spacious, clean and had both gravel and cement area for parking.  The skies at night were clear and the location of the camp, set on a hilltop, was perfect for seeing stars and the distant city lights.  During the daytime, the park has beautiful views of the mountains nearby.  Some of the sites are considered premium and they had the best mountain views and a patio area and outdoor fitpit.

The dog run area was exceptionally clean, nice and spacious for our two dog.  The dog area has a patch of grass in the middle and then surrounded by decompressed granite.  I preferred this to the dog parks that are all grass.  It was very clean and had climbing structures for the pups.  The restroom near the dog park was sparkling clean with marble floors.  I popped into the gift shop/welcome desk and there were a lot of items for sale, crafts, food items, etc.  I can see spending a longer visit here and exploring the town of Las Cruces and the nearby Medilla area wineries.  The location is convenient if you are traveling on I-10 and feels very safe and secure.

      Clean and neat

The front desk ladies are friendly and fun. The campground is situated on a mountain side, beautiful view, cool breeze. Our campsite is shady and tent pad is lush grass. Not all Sites have trees but some do. Restrooms and showers are clean and nice. It’s quiet and peaceful.

      Las Cruces KOA

      Laundry day

Got here around 7pm. The only sites available are tent sites which is fine as we are self contained and small. The tent sites are flat for parking. The bathrooms are clean. The Big rigs are very close to each other. The only downside is it was a cold night and a few rigs turned a generator on. Nice store. No front loader laundry. But the laundry was pretty quick. The staff is very nice.

      Really nice KOA

This place was well kept. Loved the camping cabin as a treat after a month of car camping. Hot showers, community kitchen, laundry, dog run. I also staying in one of the tent sites which was available despite the cold. Camping cabins are 1-4 and 3 and 4 are nicer just farther off the road.

      Great KOA

This is probably the nicest KOA that we have stayed at. On a bluff overlooking the city, lots of amenities, clean restrooms and showers, friendly. Easy access to the freeway and city.

      Caballo Lake RV Park

      Nice campground

Campground is very nice with great views. Grounds are well kept. Bathhouse is clean. Water in the showers are annoying because it auto cuts off after about 10-15 seconds and you have to keep it going for at least a minute or two to get hot water. Sites are close but separated my some bushes. The Dyrt app says there is WiFi which there isn’t and also that there are sewer hookups which they aren’t. Not a problem but just fyi.

      Nice park

We only stayed one night but this was a convenient location or far off the highway. Bathroom was clean and staff was nice. Large clean dog park. Nice views of the city. Some sites back up to the view and they also behave a path and pier pit with a view. Looks like they are making improvements to the park.

      Las Cruces KOA

      Nice view and amenities

This was our only experience with a KOA and for being a chain campground it was better than we expected. I think this is probably one of the better KOAs compared to ones we’ve driven past. It’s not on the busiest road like others are. So it was somewhat quiet. It had a nice view. The open air kitchen it offered was top notch and a nice break from cooking on our propane camping stove. We were the only ones in the tent sites so that probably made the experience better because we enjoy solitude. I’m sure it gets filled in the warmer months. The people working there are nice. The showers are warm. No complaints really.
