    Fantastic scenic spot

Fantastic views, friendly staff. Clean digs. Some improvements maybe for the camp kitchen. We stayed in the tent Cabin 2 and loved every minute of it. It was cold and it heated up quickly. Everything we needed for a nice stay and the bed was comfy.

    Riverbend Hot Springs

    Amazing, unique experience

These hot springs are FANTASTIC! This was our 2nd time here and we will make an effort to come back anytime we pass through the area.

They only have 5 RV spots, and they are COMPETITIVELY booked. Each time we've stayed we have been lucky enough to get cancelation bookings. Each site is big rig friendly, with easy back-in parking. We were in site 4 and had no trouble parking our 37ft 5th wheel with long truck (55ft total). Each site is full hookups with cable and free high speed wifi, and a picnic table. Current rates are 75/night for week days and 95/night for weekends. RV stays include access to the public pools and areas (during operating hours) from the time of your check in to your check out time the next morning. You can't beat that value!! Site includes 2 adults and you can add more for 30/person per night. I recommend going during the week so you basically have the place to yourself. RVs only, no vans, tents, or truck/car camping.

They also have a nice RV for rent, or they have casitas/hotel rooms that look gorgeous and some even have their own private yards with soaking pools. You can even rent a private soaking pool easily online or at the front desk. All the pools are beautiful and clean and every part of the hot springs property is perfectly manicured and so relaxing. They have a cute common area with coffee and tea, and a shared cooking area. You can rent towels and robes, and they have a small gift shop. These hot springs do not feel touristy, but instead quaint and relaxing. The cost is very reasonable and you can tell they put a lot of heart and soul into the grounds.

The views are to die for. The soaking pools overlook the rio grande river with mountains in the background. I have never been to a hot springs better than this one, and you can park your RV right across the street! Perfection.

    Las Cruces KOA

    Great New Mexico Stop

We stopped on either end of our trip to the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. It was a great midway point from home. We stayed in a patio site. The site was spacious and level. A fire pit with chairs, a propane grill, and table with 4 chairs was provided. The kids enjoyed cornhole, basketball, tetherball, and the playground. The store was well stocked. I only wish more local products were sold. Many of the items that appeared to be made by Native Americans were actually imported from overseas. We also wish the community room had board games or movies to check out. The coffee and pastries was a great touch! We will definitely be back to explore the area more. Employees were friendly and kind. A great place to stay!

    Hot Springs Glamp Camp

    Wonderful hidden gem! 🌴🛀🌵

This is a cool & nicely maintained RV/campsite with a few permanent vintage trailers & a yurt. It is only a short walk to Main Street but it is very quiet at night. Highlight: It includes access to incredible mineral water baths built out of kitschy farm troughs!

The sites are separated by corrugated walls, so there is a nice amount of privacy while still having a cozy, vintage, community feel. The bathrooms are very nicely maintained and clean, and there is an awesome shared space with a fire pit. We planned to come for one night and stayed five! Can’t recommend it enough. Did I mention the mineral baths?!

    Las Cruces KOA

    Best KOA so far

Very good looking park. Grounds are nice and seem well maintained. Features a good looking basketball court, dog run area, child run area, and picnic area. Couldn't use the pool because it closes at 7pm - LAME!

Bathroom was old feeling, cramped, and a bit smelly. I had two silverfish in the shower with me that I didn't invite.

My site was one with no sewer hookup and I appreciate that cheaper option. Site had a picnic table and fire ring.

    Las Cruces KOA

Views for days and soft tent sites

After about 308 miles on the road today we were tired. The desolate stretches of highway between Tucson and Las Cruces had paid their toll and we were very happy to at last see the Las Cruces KOA Campground sign.

We had called in advance and were insured that tent camping was not yet full and we could come and make ourselves at home. Unknowing if we would make it before the office closed between 6:00 and 6:30 we were delighted to see the friendly face of Anne when we arrived.

She assisted us with not only a great campsite but also providing a map with items potentially of interest and some knowledge about our next days activity.

Our campsite was near the bathrooms and on a grassy area with plenty of shade. We were provided with a grill station and picnic table as well as water at the site and parking just in front along the slight fence line.

The campground facilities provided a half basketball court and play area as well as a gazebo for looking at the views during sunset. Those views were amazing overlooking the city and into the mountains as the night fell from the distance.

We found an outdoor grill area upon arrival which offered a little more relief from winds than our campsite itself so were able to use our camp stove there and also have a nice area to sit and eat peacefully.

There was a pool and it looked very inviting, however it was not open until mid month, a sad negative to us upon arrival.

I did take notice for those rv camping they also provided full hook ups and cable. To all campers wifi was available as well.

    🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰

Overall this campground gets 5 of 5 Bunnies. The security of code locked facilities as well as comfortable facilities made for a pleasant experience in Las Cruces as a pass through city on our venture.

    Riverbend Hot Springs

    Perfect road trip stop!

I can’t say enough good things about this place. Situated right on the river with awesome hot springs! There multiple pools to chose from and for privacy. They have running water and showers too. A cute little hot spring cat hung out with us in the lounge area around the pool. The springs & camping are located right in town and it really is a cool little town!

    Beautiful views

Easy access off the I10 and very close to town and stores and restaurants . The campground is set up on a hill providing beautiful 180 degree views. The staff person in the office was wonderful, professional and helpful. There is a nicely stocked store. The park is very clean and the utilities were in great shape and easy to connect. There is a concrete pad assuring a level site. The picnic table was the nicest that we have seen, it was very clean, in perfect condition and made from great material. It is a lovely campground and we’ll be back.

What to do

Visit mineral hot springs: Several properties near Truth or Consequences (about 30 miles from Radium Springs) offer natural hot spring access. Riverbend Hot Springs features multiple pools of varying temperatures overlooking the Rio Grande. "The nighttime serenity and views were stunning. Explore Elephant Butte Reservoir: Located near cabin accommodations, this large reservoir provides water recreation opportunities. Hot Springs Glamp Camp offers convenient access while providing comfortable lodging. "It's tucked away and such a cozy and slow place to stay. We stayed in a campsite for 5 nights. Visit nearby cities: Cabin accommodations provide a comfortable base for exploring. Las Cruces (30 minutes south) offers cultural attractions and dining, while Truth or Consequences provides hot springs and small-town charm. "We took a short drive to La Mesilla and the farmers market in Las Cruces—definitely recommend both. White Sands is also not too far if you're up for a day trip," shared a visitor at Las Cruces KOA.

What campers like

Proximity to hot springs: Many cabins provide either on-site hot springs or quick access to nearby mineral waters. Hot Springs Glamp Camp receives high marks for its mineral baths. "It includes access to incredible mineral water baths built out of kitschy farm troughs! Multiple hot springs tubs, private and not private. New water every time you soak," explains one satisfied guest.

What you should know

Advance reservations essential: Many cabin properties have limited availability requiring advance booking. This is particularly true for properties with hot springs. "They only have 5 RV spots, and they are COMPETITIVELY booked. Each time we've stayed we have been lucky enough to get cancelation bookings," warns a Las Cruces KOA visitor.

Seasonal considerations: Summer temperatures regularly exceed 100°F, making spring and fall more comfortable for outdoor activities. Winter nights can drop below freezing despite mild daytime temperatures. "We stayed in the tent Cabin 2... It was cold and it heated up quickly," notes a Las Cruces KOA visitor.

Amenity variations: Check specific property listings for included amenities. "The hook ups are all There and it's easily accessible to the hot springs, but don't expect any privacy or space. You're paying for a parking space to have access to the hot springs," explains a Riverbend Hot Springs visitor.

Tips for camping with families

Outdoor recreation areas: Some cabin properties provide communal spaces for family activities. "The kids enjoyed cornhole, basketball, tetherball, and the playground. The store was well stocked," shares a Lakeview RV Park visitor about amenities available at their cabin rental property.

Kitchen facilities: Check whether communal kitchen spaces or in-cabin cooking facilities are available. "They have a cute common area with coffee and tea, and a shared cooking area," notes a Riverbend Hot Springs visitor, highlighting amenities that make family meal preparation easier.

Proximity to supplies: Most cabin rentals are within reasonable driving distance to groceries and supplies. "Gas, food, Walmart all close by, etc. it's all there," confirms a visitor staying at a cabin property in Truth or Consequences.

Tips from RVers

Limited availability: Most properties offer only a handful of cabin rentals alongside RV accommodations. "There are only four transient spaces. Most of them are long-term people I would happen to be lucky enough to get one," reports a visitor at Las Cruces KOA.

Full hookup access: Many cabin rental properties also accommodate RVs with full hookups. "Each site is full hookups with cable and free high speed wifi, and a picnic table. Current rates are 75/night for week days and 95/night for weekends," notes a Riverbend Hot Springs visitor.

Winter accessibility: Unlike some campgrounds that close seasonally, many cabin rentals in this area remain open year-round. "A nice simple CG busy even through the winter season and the views! Will return," shares a Lakeview RV Park visitor about their winter experience.
