Hot Springs Glamp Camp

Hot spring enthusiasts can soak in mineral water baths around the clock at this small, walled campground in Elephant Butte. The facility features multiple hot spring tubs built from repurposed farm troughs, with fresh mineral water for each use. Sites are separated by corrugated metal walls for privacy while maintaining a vintage community atmosphere.

The campground operates behind an automatic gate with passcode access and sits two blocks from Main Street and the Rio Grande. Accommodations include traditional RV sites with electric hookups alongside refurbished vintage trailers and a yurt. Ashlee G. notes the facility "has lovely clean hot spring tubs that are open 24/7" and "clean bathrooms and showers and a grill."

Common areas include a shared fire pit space and outdoor furniture for relaxing between soaks. The bathrooms and showers receive consistent praise for cleanliness from visitors. WiFi and cell service are both strong throughout the property. Some of the vintage trailer rentals lack adequate hot water and have windows without proper screens.

The campground works well for travelers seeking mineral spring access within walking distance of downtown amenities. For those planning extended stays in the area, camping near Elephant Butte provides additional options for exploring the reservoir and surrounding recreation areas.

Campers regularly cited the exceptional mineral hot springs tubs and well-maintained facilities as major draws. Most found the grounds quiet and hosts friendly, though one visitor questioned value given unit maintenance issues.

vintage trailers at new condo prices

I'm staying in the "blue" or blue bell which is a circa 60's 1-bedroom aluminium rig. No TV - fine. No 12V outlets for charging - I didn't think about that. At $106/night one. might think the crank-out windows would all a have a screen and not flap in the breeze. Heating and cooling is covered once you figure out how to use the mini-split and oil-filled electric heater. They have hot tubs with mineral water, big plus apparently, but that  is not reason enough to not have adequate hot water in the unit. As a seasoned traveler I realize first impressions can be off, but my take on the neighborhood is that I would not go out there alone after dark. This small "park" is self contained behind walls and an automatic gate controlled by pass-code that is only available on site. The wifi is strong and free. Cell coverage looks real strong, too.

Amazing glamping stay!

Highly recommend this gem. It’s tucked away and such a cozy and slow place to stay. We stayed in a campsite for 5 nights. Highly recommend more than one day so you can enjoy the springs and the town! It has lovely clean hot spring tubs that are open 24/7. It’s an intimate camp so we rarely had to wait for a tub. Also has clean bathrooms and showers and a grill. 2 blocks away from Main Street and 2 blocks from the Rio grande. Great host and great service too.

Wonderful hidden gem! 🌴🛀🌵

This is a cool & nicely maintained RV/campsite with a few permanent vintage trailers & a yurt. It is only a short walk to Main Street but it is very quiet at night. Highlight: It includes access to incredible mineral water baths built out of kitschy farm troughs!

The sites are separated by corrugated walls, so there is a nice amount of privacy while still having a cozy, vintage, community feel. The bathrooms are very nicely maintained and clean, and there is an awesome shared space with a fire pit. We planned to come for one night and stayed five! Can’t recommend it enough. Did I mention the mineral baths?!
