The campground was very clean. It had full bathrooms with showers and even a washer. The sites were kept clean. A store is located at the front. The trail head is right next to the campsite for easy access.

Amazing Hiking

This is one of the most beautiful hiking and camping areas and well worth checking out. I did the ridge hike while in college and stayed here with friends. It was wet and foggy so good thing we had a map but still some of the most incredible views.

Incredible location to a variety of hikes.

If you're looking for easy to strenuous hikes that can be accessed from one place, this is the spot! You can access at least 6 of the NH48 from this campground, numerous waterfalls, two AMC huts, and several ponds and lakes all within hiking distance.

The only downside is that it is right next to I-93 which certainly echoes. The traffic noise was a little distracting and took away from the peacefulness of being outside but again, once you get on your hike, you can't hear it at all.

I'll also say that the camp store is stocked very well and the Rangers are knowledgeable, accommodating, and pleasant!

Awesome place, awesome staff.

Spent four days at Lafayette, and it was a wonderful experience. The campground was kept very clean. Bathrooms, showers, and the site upon arrival were all in phenomenal condition. The staff were very knowledgeable in the different trails around the area for hiking, and biking. Wish I had brought my kayaks as there is plenty of spots within a couple minutes to drop into the water. Book ahead though as the weekends fill up quickly. The Franconia notch trail is across the street and is a super popular hike.

loud but convenient

cute little spot to spend the night. might have to get there early to get a campsite. it’s in the middle multiple hiking areas and also right next to the road so it’s usually crowded and/or loud with the highway. when it’s quiet though it’s amazing
